BBC R4 – Inside The Sex Offenders’ Prison…

Date: June 24, 2016

01) BBC R4 – Inside The Sex Offenders’ Prison

“The documentary film-maker Rex Bloomstein gains unprecedented access to HMP Whatton in Nottinghamshire, the largest sex offender prison in Europe, to investigate how its inmates are rehabilitated for release.”

When Dave Potter [one of the prisons “facilitators of these programs”] says they treat all “sex offenders” the same, because they consider violent rape and child pornography viewing to be some kind of moral equivalence…

…I suddenly found myself wishing I could have been in the room with Dave, when he spewed this bile…to slap him upside his head, extremely hard…and yell “Moron!”…”Idiot!”…”Filthy Liar!”…

I don’t usually have this kind of emotion overtake me…But, this level of dishonesty, makes me outright sick…and outraged…It makes my blood boil, to be honest.

While interesting…this documentary is a mixed bag.

There are some cringe worthy moments.

Security Disabled On Hillary’s Email Servers…

01) Security Disabled On Hillary’s Email Servers

“WASHINGTON (AP) — State Department staffers wrestled for weeks in December 2010 over a serious technical problem that affected emails from then-Secretary Hillary Clinton’s home email server, causing them to temporarily disable security features on the government’s own systems, according to emails released Wednesday.

The emails were released under court order Wednesday to the conservative legal advocacy group Judicial Watch, which has sued the State Department over access to public records related to the presumptive Democratic presidential nominee’s service as the nation’s top diplomat between 2009 and 2013.

The emails, reviewed by The Associated Press, show that State Department technical staff disabled software on their systems intended to block phishing emails that could deliver dangerous viruses. They were trying urgently to resolve delivery problems with emails sent from Clinton’s private server.

“This should trump all other activities,” a senior technical official, Ken LaVolpe, told IT employees in a Dec. 17, 2010, email. Another senior State Department official, Thomas W. Lawrence, wrote days later in an email that deputy chief of staff Huma Abedin personally was asking for an update about the repairs. Abedin and Clinton, who both used Clinton’s private server, had complained that emails each sent to State Department employees were not being reliably received.

Bernie Sanders Concedes He Probably Won’t Be The Nominee…

Date: June 24, 2016

01) Bernie Sanders Concedes He Probably Won’t Be The Nominee

“Sen. Bernie Sanders (I-Vt.) acknowledged on Wednesday he did not believe he would be the Democratic nominee for president.

“It doesn’t appear that I’m going to be the nominee, so I’m not going to be determining the scope of the convention,” Sanders said during an interview on C-SPAN.

During a video address to supporters last week, Sanders vowed to defeat presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump but has stopped short of dropping out of the race, vowing to press on to the Democratic convention next month.

“What we are trying to do is create the most progressive platform that we possibly can, reflecting the needs of working families and students and the environment, health care and so forth,” he said. “We are trying to do nothing less than transform the Democratic party.”

Sanders has called for the ouster of DNC Chair Debbie Wasserman Schultz, the elimination of superdelegates, the adoption of same-day voter registration, and allowing open primaries so voters unaffiliated with a party can help choose its nominee.”
