I admit to baulking at the idea of “creating mayhem” to confront discrimination on the basis of my sexual orientation, because I would in turn be confronted with crowd pathology and its murderous intent. It is all very-well-and-good to be brave and truthful online, but the polar opposite to be brave and truthful face-to-face. Consequences in my experience have been devastating.

That’s fair…but I do find the insight in this piece to be good…

I wasn’t choosing it, with intent to tell anyone BL or GL to pick a fight with the pedophile-phobes…

I just think it’s an interesting human facet to understand.

I’ll likely post the entire lecture that was taken from, at some point.

Yes, it is useful to be aware of this facet, and indeed I was, but what I attempted to suggest was this: it is one thing to be aware, and quite another to “bare one’s teeth, be willing to use them, and make people aware you are prepared to use them” if you belong to a despised sexual minority group. The nearest I can come to rebellion and displaying two fingers in the face of a phobic society who do their damnedest to prevent me ever from enjoying my sexuality, is to wear the cl butterfly logo embroidered on a couple of my T-shirts. In five years of wearing them in plain sight of the public, no-one has even mentioned them. I don’t know if this is a good thing or a bad thing, but it does give me some small sense of satisfaction in doing so.

What JP is saying here is absolutely relevant to the minority group to which I belong. I have yet to be convinced that ‘my group’ (I find it strange to use that term because I feel very little sense of belonging) has managed to find any way of baring its teeth to cower those that mean us harm. In half a century or more, far from gaining ground, the opposite is the case from my perspective. To avoid any misunderstanding, if I sense something to be broken, I am not going to be forced into saying it works fine. It is not aimed at any on-topic blogs … it is just my general perception of our lot at this point in time.

      Oh, I understand.

How I chose content shared here, especially of this nature, has most to do with whether or not I think it is likely to be enriching, to people who strive to be decent human beings.

Whether or not those people are Child Lovers and Teen Lovers, or not, isn’t really my primary concern…If somebody who isn’t “one of us” finds personal value in what is here…wonderful.

I know a lot of what people are directed towards on this blog, is related to discussing MAP issues…But that was never really intended to be the primary focal point of this blog.

The primary focus is simply human issues, with a MAP perspective sometimes added in.

This is a large part of the reason, why I like to share a wide range of things.
