01) Armie Hammer Has Perfect Response To James Woods’ Hypocritical Gay Tweet
“The queer-themed coming-of-age drama “Call Me By Your Name” drew critical raves after its Sundance Film Festival premiere in January, garnering early Oscar buzz for stars Armie Hammer and Timothée Chalamet.
One person who isn’t buying into the buzz, however, is James Woods. The 70-year-old actor, who is known for his conservative views, blasted the film for its portrayal of a romantic relationship between a 24-year-old academic (Hammer) and a 17-year-old American expat (Chalamet) living in Italy.”
James Woods on Twitter: “As they quietly chip away the last barriers of decency. #NAMBLA”
I always believed that true decency, is allowing others their own humanity.
Who is James Woods, to deny this for others?
…and while he’s well known for un-holstering….ummm…”The Little Lone Twanger”, and slipping it to barely legal females several decades younger than himself, no less?…
Another classic example, of a person who likes to jump on top of the very young wherever it suits his own spats of heat…but points a finger of righteous indignation, whenever anyone even portrays a similar thing.
…He who lives in a glass house, should not throw stones…
But if the vulgar hypocrisy is not bad enough…
…I’m wondering how James imagines, that the way sexual minorities are maltreated in society, and the way they continue to be denied genuine voice and representation, is in any way decent…
…How is it decent, standing in the way of these people finding points of happiness in life, who have it hard enough as is?
As a homosexual who grew up in a family and school, owned by a deeply religious church…as someone put through years of mental torment over this, as a young person…where is this cultural “decency” you so stridently talk about, James?…Because I’ve certainly never seen it.
…I don’t believe that being put through years of suicidal tendencies, being forced to hate and reject myself, and destabilizing my life, is in any way decent.
Sad thing…after everything this world has put people like me through, you’d still deny me even the most meager scraps of personal happiness, wouldn’t you?
People like you just strike out at others, even when they’ve never done a damn thing against you.
