Sex offender registries increase sexual assault…

01) Sex offender registries increase sexual assault

“By Steve Yoder . . . By now you may have seen the news release about the findings of a new study of the impacts on children of being placed on sex offender registries. (I’d link to it but it doesn’t appear to be online yet.) The results are unsurprising, and chilling.

Kids on registries, researchers from the Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health found, are four times as likely as comparable children to attempt suicide. (The average age of those in the study was 15.) They’re five times as likely to be approached by an adult for sex. And yes, they’re twice as likely to actually be sexually assaulted.

That last finding should raise hair on the scalp of every politician not wearing a toupee—sex offender registries increase the rate of sexual violence. It’s just the latest and most direct evidence that publicly posting the names of those convicted of past sexual offenses drives sex-crime rates up, not down. (That registries and related practices raise the number of offenses through other pathways is well documented, as described here.)”

Just disgraceful…

…The USA is not a civilized, nor a humane, country.

      That is a tragedy.

I wish the U.S. did not have the global power that it does.

Other countries falsely believe the U.S. is a moral, ethical, advanced and just leader in the world community…

…It’s just as corrupt as any other.

The John Hopkins article underpinning the NARSOL piece relates the following:

“For the study, the researchers surveyed 256 children” (251 of which were boys) “ages 12 to 17 across 18 states who had received treatment services for engaging in harmful and/or illegal sexual behaviors. Of these, 74 had been required to register as sexual offenders and/or subjected to public notification in which law enforcement alerted others to the child’s status as a registered offender. Some children were even included on public sex offender registry websites. The most troubling findings, the authors say, pertained to suicidal intent and victimization experiences.”

The implication above is that some illegal sexual behaviours are not harmful … but what the heck, we’re going to trash your life any which way we can, ‘cos we can. The fact you’re just a kid is irrelevant ‘cos you’ll become an even more dangerous predator as you get older. Best to nip your perversion in the bud right now.

Evidently the Anglosphere’s war on boys continues apace.

“Evidently the Anglosphere’s war on boys continues apace.”

      It does.

They have no moral high ground, in this regard.

It’s insane how they talk about “saving children”, in the face of doing this…

…Who saves children from them?…At present, nobody.

They just don’t want sexual humans below a certain age, behaving sexually.

The degree to which they visit their intolerance upon others, is just sick.
