01) Ruby Ridge – PBS American Experience

“PBS American Experience is Documentary on American history consistently among the best shows on television. Episode is Ruby Ridge.”

I used to listen to Bo Gritz…back in the mid nineties, on shortwave radio…It was during that early transitional phase, I sometimes talk about…where I left organized religion, but still identified as Christian…

…I don’t know that I’d say I was searching for something different…so much as I was astonished and intrigued, at what all I was encountering [and finding it somewhat exotic, listening to native news/broadcasts, from other countries/communities I’d never before heard from].

Bo talked about Ruby Ridge, quite a bit…and I know it had a profound impact on him…

I’m glad it was a passing phase.

I had read somewhere, in passing, that Bo attempted suicide…Apparently, he survived.

Ruby Ridge is a prime example, of just how wrong a stupidly handled situation can go…

…And I don’t like so much to draw this comparison…But it’s been in the back of my mind, over the years…that this exacts sort of thing can happen to MAP’s, just as easily…

I never knew what to believe, about the racist allegations…But, realizing what had happened…primarily at the hands of the U.S. government…

…I mean…jesus…They killed a young kid…They killed a mother, who was holding her young infant…

…This case has always had a strong impact on me, where it came to understanding what some people in the U.S. government are willing to do…how savage and ruthless, they are willing to allow things to get…

I’ve never been a survivalist, nor terrorist minded [obviously]…But taking stock of how the U.S. government has abused, tormented and killed so many…even of it’s own citizens…

…It’s easier to understand, what has gone into creating home grown terrorists.

The U.S. government, itself, holds no small part of this blame.
