01) 11 Weeks (2010)

“An elderly Indian scientist VIR Nehru lives in a nursing home. He began to have a negative attitude towards Muslims after the terrorist attack that killed his family. Now VIR Nehru is forced to tolerate the Muslim boy Aslam, who must visit him to serve his sentence in public works. The growing tension in the region between the two religious communities will grow into something more between the boy and the scientist within 11 weeks.”

Beautiful boy…Beautiful movie…

Agreed! He is an angel. I spent a month in ‘next-door’ Nepal last year, and can vouch for the beauty of boys in the Himalayan region. Sadly, Khatmandu is a sink for orphans forced out from the rural regions either by their own families as unwanted or by the 2015 earthquake that devastated so many mountain communities. If you can cope with living in the midst of the poverty, squalor and chaos that characterises the capital, then there is undeniable potential for an adult who would relish attempting to bring a smidgen of happiness into the lives of the disadvantaged kids that somehow manage to survive there.

      He’s old by now, but…yeah…wow!…

…I so much would have loved him hugging me. 🙂

It’s heartbreaking, to know there is such suffering in this world.
