Twitter Releases New Policy on ‘Dehumanizing Speech’…

Date: September 29, 2018

01) Twitter Releases New Policy on ‘Dehumanizing Speech’

“Twitter on Tuesday announced a new policy addressing “dehumanizing speech,” which will take effect later this year, and for the first time the public will be able to formally provide the company with feedback on the proposed rule.

The policy will prohibit “content that dehumanizes others based on their membership in an identifiable group, even when the material does not include a direct target.” It expands upon Twitter’s existing hateful conduct policy prohibiting users from threatening violence or directly attacking a specific individual on the basis of characteristics such as race, sexual orientation, or gender. Twitter’s users, especially women and minority groups, long have complained that the company’s rules have been ineffective and inconsistent in addressing harassment and abuse.”

      It is…Just not a protected one…

I’m getting concerned with Twitters move towards greater, far reaching vagueness, where it comes to it’s new rules on what they can suspend and ban you over.

I mean…this could definitely clear out a lot of the people who’ve been targeting MAPs on Twitter…And I’m a firm believer in karma justice…

…But, it’s hard to say if, or how, these rules could be used against MAPs.

“this could definitely clear out a lot of the people who’ve been targeting MAPs on Twitter”

Twitter is an online news and social networking service based in America, and therefore has to be seen to be upholding US law. MAPs have been placed by Anglophile governments in the same category as terrorists for decades, plus judgments from the APA insist MAPs are mentally defective.

I cannot see how Twitter or any other social networking service can impose constraints on the flow of ‘dehumanized speech’ directed towards mentally defective terrorists. The absence of discrimination law that makes it an offence to discriminate an individual on the basis of his or her attraction to underagers, means that this particularly enjoyable discriminatory blood sport can continue unchecked via Twitter without fear of reprisal.

There has been this interesting trend…many of the more nasty “Anonymous” types, who employ death and violence threats, sometimes using media depictions of violence in a threatening manner against individual MAPs, have been getting their accounts terminated for it.

…It’s getting to the point, where you actually see these bozos complaining about it, that their account got suspended [or features locked for 12 hours, etc.], for having harassed and abused a MAP…

So…it is happening, on some level…and it has been, for a while.

This is uncharted territory…MAPs have generally been “sheltered” from abusive administrative practices [IE: terminating accounts on sight], at Twitter…not dissimilar to WordPress.

…So long as you stay legal and pleasantly sociable…you’re generally considered part of the community in good standing.

…Though, Twitter is a lot more restrictive towards openly talking about some MAP issues.
