Anti-SJW Cringe Compilation – Volume 2…

Date: December 13, 2018

01) Anti-SJW Cringe Compilation – Volume 2

My goodness!…Shoe0nHead…Andy Warski…Stephen Molyneux…Armored Skeptic, even…

At least two of these people, I have absolutely nothing good to say about…I consider them to be cancer on the internet…and the human species, as a whole…One of them gives me an ill feeling…the other has done interesting stuff on YouTube, but a lot of people have really come to hate this person…and I’ve not paid enough attention to get all the “whys”.

…Then there is Milo…what to say about him?…What goes around, comes around…He wants to retreat from good stances, and attach himself to whatever current platform will have him?…fine…But that’s a turbulent, bridge burning path…I hope he has enough quality friends to burn through, going down that road…When he reaches the end, it’s going to get real ugly.

I largely had to share this, since I just happened across it…only a few days after sharing the Shoe0nHead diatribe.

…After spreading false information, and taking cheap stabs at MAPs…it’s interesting to watch her call Leslie Jones a gorilla…

…She’s just a “sweetheart all around”, isn’t she?

Truth be told…Ghost Busters 2016 is a good, funny movie…with one or two scenes, that probably should have ended up on the cutting room floor…But I’m glad I went to see it.

Leslie did not deserve any of that ugly crap…

Thing about “pretty girls” like Shoe0nHead…

…They can have the most aesthetically pleasing look in the world…but if they’re ugly on the inside…they’re just plain ugly…

…Surface shallow looks will never cover up, nor compensate for, that type of ugly…

…It’s the worst type of ugly there is.

Maryanne Wolf: Skim reading is the new normal. The effect on society is profound…

Date: December 12, 2018

01) Skim reading is the new normal. The effect on society is profound

Thanks to Pete Pimpernel!

“When the reading brain skims texts, we don’t have time to grasp complexity, to understand another’s feelings or to perceive beauty. We need a new literacy for the digital age…

Look around on your next plane trip. The iPad is the new pacifier for babies and toddlers. Younger school-aged children read stories on smartphones; older boys don’t read at all, but hunch over video games. Parents and other passengers read on Kindles or skim a flotilla of email and news feeds. Unbeknownst to most of us, an invisible, game-changing transformation links everyone in this picture: the neuronal circuit that underlies the brain’s ability to read is subtly, rapidly changing – a change with implications for everyone from the pre-reading toddler to the expert adult.

As work in neurosciences indicates, the acquisition of literacy necessitated a new circuit in our species’ brain more than 6,000 years ago. That circuit evolved from a very simple mechanism for decoding basic information, like the number of goats in one’s herd, to the present, highly elaborated reading brain. My research depicts how the present reading brain enables the development of some of our most important intellectual and affective processes: internalized knowledge, analogical reasoning, and inference; perspective-taking and empathy; critical analysis and the generation of insight. Research surfacing in many parts of the world now cautions that each of these essential “deep reading” processes may be under threat as we move into digital-based modes of reading.

Increasing reports from educators and from researchers in psychology and the humanities bear this out. English literature scholar and teacher Mark Edmundson describes how many college students actively avoid the classic literature of the 19th and 20th centuries because they no longer have the patience to read longer, denser, more difficult texts. We should be less concerned with students’ “cognitive impatience,” however, than by what may underlie it: the potential inability of large numbers of students to read with a level of critical analysis sufficient to comprehend the complexity of thought and argument found in more demanding texts, whether in literature and science in college, or in wills, contracts and the deliberately confusing public referendum questions citizens encounter in the voting booth.”

Woman jailed for carrying out determined stalking campaign before staging own kidnap…

01) Woman jailed for carrying out determined stalking campaign before staging own kidnap

“Jessica Nordquist – described as ‘intelligent, resourceful and well educated’ – launched a terrifying campaign against her ex-boyfriend. Nordquist, an American citizen, waged an extreme hate campaign after her brief relationship with Mark Weeks ended.

She sent messages to his clients accusing him of rape, and set up a fake account for him so she could send out a ‘confession’ email to make it appear he was owning up. The relentless campaign also saw her set up at least 20 fake Instagram accounts and post similar claims online. In April she faked her own kidnap and said her abductors had assaulted and raped her – but she was discovered safe and well in Scotland by police.”

25-Year-Old Man Trapped Inside Body Of 12-Year-Old Boy Says It Is A Living Hell…

Date: December 12, 2018

01) 25-Year-Old Man Trapped Inside Body Of 12-Year-Old Boy Says It Is A Living Hell

“A 25-year-old man who is trapped inside the body of a 12-year-old boy because of a very rare condition says he looks in the mirror and hates what he sees looking back at him.

Tomasz Nadolski, from Olesnica, Poland, suffers from a rare genetic condition known as Fabry disease, which affects his kidneys, heart and skin.

He said: “I am 25 years old and I would like to look like a man of my age. I hate this boy who I see every day in the mirror, because it is not me.”

He said doctors initially suspected his symptoms were of a mental illness rather than a physical one and just encouraged him to eat more.

Tomasz said: “My parents were torn. They saw something going on, but they believed the doctors that I was mentally ill and that I should just eat more.”

And he said his family relationships have been badly affected by his condition because they are unable to get past his child-like appearance.”

This is different from a case like that of David Bennent…So, this guy has a lot more going on, than simple delayed growth…It’s causing him a lot of physical suffering…and the fact he cannot eat, must be horrible…

This article raises interesting questions, on the psychological difficulties of living like that…perpetually child like, as your friends grow and advance.

…How does the brain and mind change, even as the body remains primarily the same?…

I’ve sometimes felt that I’d love to be like that…just stuck at ten, eleven or twelve years of age, in a healthy state…And as a MAP, I’ve imagined what it might be like, to meet such an individual…and have a relationship with them.

Unless you are like a David Bennent…cute…a celebrity in demand…where it turns into a net positive…it’s got to be hard on your average person, who experiences this.

World’s First Oral Sex Robot Ready To Go After Hitting 500% Of Crowdfunding Target…

01) World’s First Oral Sex Robot Ready To Go After Hitting 500% Of Crowdfunding Target

“The campaign to bring VIECI’s ‘Autoblow AI’ into being has been incredibly successfully, almost raising $250,000 (£200,000), which is 500 percent more than the company’s target. Of course it did.

The machine is the world’s first oral sex simulator that is capable of using artificial intelligence to teach itself to improve its performance – again, of course it is.

“We spent the last three years listening to feedback from our 200,000 Autoblow 2 owners and in response built a new machine that mechanically better replicates the gliding and friction combination of the mouth and hand that men experience during oral sex,” explained the device’s inventor (and former lawyer) Brian Sloan.”

When will we stop fearing sex?…

Date: December 12, 2018

There is lightly censored porn in the linked article.

01) When will we stop fearing sex?

“I’m so fucking tired of this. I’m so tired of dredging up the same arguments, trying desperately to distill my rage in a constructive way. Not only because this affects my livelihood and my friends’ livelihoods, and because it disproportionately hurts POC and marginalized people, but because it’s such an ass-backwards approach to solving the “problem.” We know the “just filter the bad stuff” tactic is impossible to implement at best and completely ineffectual at worst, so why are we still doing it?

Oh right, because sex. That’s how we handle sex in this country. By ridiculing, demonizing, and burying it. By plugging our ears and yelling LA LA LA CAN’T HEAR YOU.

I mean, if sex ed classes literally taught kids that sex can be pleasurable it would already be a dream come true. Adding discussions of consent, or accurate diagrams of the clitoris, would be groundbreaking. But when I think about sex ed in America, sometimes I go further and fantasize about implementing a program that teaches porn literacy. Like, what would the world be like if young people were exposed to queer, feminist porn? Imagine it. Imagine kids learning that sex is an incredible range of activities, not any one act. That communicating during sex isn’t scary. That all bodies and gender expressions are equally valid. That sex toys and safer sex practices are nothing to be ashamed of.

What if we taught young people how to consume porn, rather than acting like they’ll never watch it?

Instead, I’ve watched Instagram ban feminist sex shops and sex workers, heard horror stories of PayPal shutting down accounts. Big payment processors have closed so-called “high risk” accounts of porn performers. YouTube sees fit to hide and demonetize LGBTQ videos. Facebook and Instagram constantly badger me to boost my posts, then refuse to take my dirty dirty money. It’s the same story: spineless corporations puffing themselves up, making a moral statement, acting like they’re protecting our innocent children. Lumping sex tirelessly, lazily, with violence. The passage of SESTA/FOSTA has only allowed these efforts to be more brazen.

As I was writing this, my Starbucks companion Amy said, “it’s like they want to uninvent sex.” Yes. It’s exactly like that.”

I greatly empathize.
