Calibre E-Book Manager…

01) Calibre E-Book Manager

02) About calibre

“calibre is a powerful and easy to use e-book manager. Users say it’s outstanding and a must-have. It’ll allow you to do nearly everything and it takes things a step beyond normal e-book software. It’s also completely free and open source and great for both casual users and computer experts.”

I finally just got the most recent version of Calibre installed on this PC…

…I’ll be totally up front…It’s been years since I used this software…and that was a much earlier version…It did work well, for transferring e-books into different file formats [including PDF]…but, I’ve not tried much of anything with this latest version.

I’m out of the loop…so, I cannot offer any real advice on using this software…I still wanted to share the link.

I like Calibre. I’ve used it on Windows and Debian, though it doesn’t always work properly on my Debian system. Probably just needs a few tweaks there.

You know…I think this is the first time I’ve used an “up to date” version of the software…

It worked previously…but I wasn’t sure that version was even made for the version of Windows I was on, at the time…and it was kind of clunky, while running.

I now have to figure out how to get my Kindle books imported into it…whatever of them I can.

I run Manjaro and use Calibre since I found out about it on Mint. It’s how I organize my papers and books. And saved Internet pages.
