Minor Attracted Person [MAP] was in use by Michael Melsheimer, the original activist who got the ball rolling with B4U-ACT [and remained with said group, up to his death], as far back as the late 1990’s. Michael was a BoyLover, and much of his interaction with others in the community happened on BoyChat.

It would not be until the mid-2000’s, that a wider range of us took up and started using the term “Minor Attracted Person”.

But the term has actually been around for a really long time…over two decades.

It is possible, Michael coined the term.
