01) Incredible Dome Home Built with Earth Bags – Sustainable SuperAdobe House

“To learn more about Seb and Isa’s earth bag “ecodome” home, and their off-grid piece of paradise, check out their website here:
http://www.eco-dome.ca/

They have solar power, propane, and a rocket stove, and they’re planting native trees, mushrooms, etc. along a path to create a permaculture food source on their property.

They also have a tipi and a yurt, in addition to the earthbag structure, where people can come to spend some time in nature, enjoy the trails they’ve set up, and learn different skills from basket weaving to building a rocket stove.

Seb and Isa are two very inspiring and hard working people who are a pleasure to be around. It’s also very nice to see people putting their beliefs and ideals into action. Their sustainable off grid project is called La Nature à l’état Pur.

The eco dome is built using plans for a SuperAdobe home, which they learned how to build in California at the CalEarth Institute. You can check out their website here to learn about their courses and programs:
http://www.calearth.org/

CalEarth was founded by architect Nader Khalili:

“Cal-Earth, the California Institute of Earth Art and Architecture, is a 501 (c)(3) nonprofit organization committed to providing solutions to the human need for shelter through research, development, and education in earth architecture. We envision a world in which every person is empowered to build a safe and sustainable home with their own hands, using the earth under their feet.”

Social Security Number – Money Laundering Scam [888 675 6247]…

Fraud Alert
….

Date: September 27, 2019

From earlier today:

01) Federal Trade Commission: This is what a Social Security scam sounds like

“Earlier this month, we told you about a growing scam: people pretend to be from the Social Security Administration (SSA) and try to get your Social Security number or your money. That scam is now growing exponentially. To compare: in 2017, we heard from 3,200 people about SSA imposter scams, and those people reported losing nearly $210,000. So far THIS year: more than 35,000 people have reported the scam, and they tell us they’ve lost $10 million.

Scammers are saying your Social Security number (SSN) has been suspended because of suspicious activity, or because it’s been involved in a crime. Sometimes, the scammer wants you to confirm your SSN to reactivate it. Sometimes, he’ll say your bank account is about to be seized – but he’ll tell you what to do to keep it safe. (Often, that involves putting your money on gift cards and giving him the codes – which, of course, means that your money is gone.)

Oh, and your caller ID often shows the real SSA phone number (1-800-772-1213) when these scammers call – but they’re faking that number. It’s not the real SSA calling.

Here’s what to know:

Your Social Security number is not about to be suspended. You don’t have to verify your number to anyone who calls out of the blue. And your bank accounts are not about to be seized.

SSA will never call to threaten your benefits or tell you to wire money, send cash, or put money on gift cards. Anyone who tells you to do those things is a scammer. Every time.

The real SSA number is 1-800-772-1213, but scammers are putting that number in the caller ID. If you’re worried about what the caller says, hang up and call 1-800-772-1213 to speak to the real SSA. Even if the wait time is long, confirm with the real SSA before responding to one of these calls.

Never give any part of your Social Security number to anyone who contacts you. Or your bank account or credit card number.

If you get one of these calls, tell the FTC at https://www.ftccomplaintassistant.gov/#crnt&panel1-1.”

02) RoboKiller: (888) 675-6247

“Social security robocalls are a frightening type of scam. You receive a robocall, and suddenly, an angry person on the other end is threatening you. It’s the Social Security Administration, and they need you to provide some personal information because their computers are down. Or — you were overpaid and you need to pay it back immediately. Or — your check isn’t coming until you give some information to the caller. These are all scams! These scams have successfully extracted millions of dollars from Americans. Social security scams are especially dangerous to seniors and people on disability. Many of these folks are entirely dependent on their SSA income, so it causes great panic to hear they won’t get their check as expected. This panic unfortunately leads to making payments or providing information to scammers. Remember — the SSA doesn’t call people to request money — end of story. Any call you receive from the SSA requesting money or personal information is guaranteed to be a scam. The SSA, like most US government agencies, prefers to communicate by written mail.”

I don’t usually go out of my way to do this…but, they decided they wanted to target me, today…so…

Anytime you get a wonky telephone call, where someone is threatening to sue/arrest you, or seize/suspend something of yours…always take the callback number they give you, enter it into any search engine you like…and see what results you get.

I’ve received these types of calls a number of times, over the last several years.

…In fact, I’m rather sick of these a-holes…which is why I’m going to punch back at them…by raising awareness.

01) “We’ve Reached Critical Mass”: Rep. Al Green on Pelosi Vow to Impeach Trump for “Dastardly Deeds”

“Democratic House Speaker Nancy Pelosi has launched a formal impeachment inquiry into President Trump following allegations from an intelligence community whistleblower that Trump sought help from Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in a July 25 phone call to investigate Democratic presidential front-runner Joe Biden and his son Hunter. On Tuesday, the Republican-controlled Senate unanimously passed a nonbinding resolution calling for the Trump administration to release the whistleblower complaint to the House and Senate Intelligence Committees. We get response and look at next steps with Congressmember Al Green, Democrat from Texas, who in 2017 was the first congressmember to call for President Trump’s impeachment from the floor of the House of Representatives. We also speak with John Nichols, political writer for The Nation and author of the book, “The Genius of Impeachment: The Founders’ Cure for Royalism.”

01) Economic Update: U.S. Economy and the Market

“[S9 E36] U.S. Economy and the Market

This week on Economic Update Professor Wolff delivers an analysis of the state of the U.S. economy at summer’s end, 2019 and it’s a decidedly mixed picture.

In the second half of this week’s show, Professor Wolff presents a counter to the imaginary ‘free market’ with a critique of the institution that is “the market” focusing on its structure, social effects, and particular beneficiaries.”
