Trump’s New Budget Cuts Vital Programs…

Date: February 10, 2020

01) Trump’s New Budget Cuts Vital Programs

“Trump is screwing you over with his new budget proposal.

President Trump on Monday will request a 6 percent cut to nondefense spending as part of his $4.8 trillion budget proposal for 2021, breaking from a bipartisan spending agreement inked in August.

The request includes $740.5 billion in defense spending but just $590 billion for domestic spending, which includes everything from health and education to transportation and foreign policy.

The proposal has already riled Democrats, who along with Republicans and the White House had agreed to overall spending figures for both 2020 and 2021 in a deal last summer.

Capitalism vs. Socialism: A Soho Forum Debate…

Date: February 10, 2020

01) Capitalism vs. Socialism: A Soho Forum Debate

“Socialism is preferable to capitalism as an economic system that promotes freedom, equality, and prosperity.

That proposition was the subject of a November 5, 2019, debate hosted by the Soho Forum, a monthly debate series sponsored by Reason. Arguing in favor of the resolution was Richard D. Wolff, an economist at the University of Massachusetts and the author, most recently, of Understanding Marxism. Taking the other side was former Barron’s economics editor Gene Epstein, who is also the Soho Forum’s co-founder and director. Reason’s Nick Gillespie served as moderator.

It was an Oxford-style debate, in which the audience votes on the resolution at the beginning and end of the event; the side that gains the most ground is victorious. It was a packed house, with about 450 people in attendance. The pre-debate vote found that 25 percent of the audience agreed that socialism was preferable to capitalism, 49.5 percent picked capitalism as the better system, and 25.5 percent were undecided. Despite a technical problem at the event itself, the Soho Forum was able to recover the final vote totals, which saw support for socialism drop by half a percentage point and support for capitalism increase to 71 percent.

Hillary Clinton Accidentally Helps Bernie…

Date: February 10, 2020

01) Hillary Clinton Accidentally Helps Bernie

“Hillary Clinton accidentally helps Bernie in an attempt to attack him.

The day after her 2016 presidential opponent was acquitted by the Senate in his impeachment trial, Hillary Clinton went on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and began by explaining why she was “disappointed” but not “surprised” by the outcome.

“The evidence was really clear,” the former secretary of state said. “There was no doubt by the time it was all presented that actually the president had done what he was accused of. In fact, he admitted that he’d done what he was accused of. He just didn’t think anybody would hold him accountable.”

Clinton said it was now up to voters to hold President Donald Trump “accountable” in the 2020 election. And she had some advice for those who are yet to make up their mind about who to nominate against him.

“I say two things,” she said. “I say, vote for the person who you believe can actually win in November. And the person who you think can govern our country. Because somebody has to get in there and try to bring our country together and put us on the right track into the future and restore our democracy and our standing in the world.

People Who Follow the TOS Don’t Usually Get Banned…

Date: February 10, 2020

01) On Twitter

What is it with these people, who keep trying to make a comparison between humans legally using a platform, for it’s intended usage…and how their friends got suspended for harassing someone on the same platform?

These have unequivocally nothing to do with each other.

I keep seeing this…and it’s completely insane…It’s like…

“So, my pal was an abusive creep towards a trans person, and they got in trouble…But Those People Over There, are Following the Rules, and Nothing Has Happened to Them!..This is So UnFair!”

I’d go a step further, and point out it is actually us MAPs who are objectively being treated unfairly.

We get targeted with things like shadow bans, regularly…We typically have to censor our own voices, because our experiences and resulting worldviews are “to politically incorrect”, and if we don’t we’ll get suspended/terminated/banned…

…And there are also turds on the Twitter administration, who will take it upon themselves to screw with you, by changing settings in your account.

I had one such a-hole set three of my private watch lists onto public, so that some malefactor could grab screen shots of one of the lists…and then try to pretend it was some scandal, that I had such a list. The reason I keep lists on private, is so that zealot jackasses don’t go running around telling people to block me…and hence, nullifying my lists.

So…don’t go telling me about how “unfair” it is, that those of you out there on a tirade against minorities get yourself banned, while “Twitter protects MAPs”…

…Because that is objectively false, and a complete load of BS.
