01) Cuomo Exposes Mitch McConnell’s BIG Secret

“New York Governor Andrew Cuomo has had enough of Senator Mitch McConnell.

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo said Friday that Senator Mitch McConnell’s suggestion that states could declare bankruptcy during the coronavirus pandemic “a really dumb idea.” The Senate Majority Leader said Wednesday that he would rather let state governments declare bankruptcy than receive more federal funding.

McConnell also suggested Republicans should oppose additional aid for state and local governments in future coronavirus relief bills. Unlike cities and local governments, state governments cannot declare bankruptcy. But McConnell told radio host Hugh Hewitt Wednesday that he “would certainly be in favor of allowing states to use the bankruptcy route.”

“It saves some cities. And there’s no good reason for it not to be available,” he said. “My guess is their first choice would be for the federal government to borrow money from future generations to send it down to them now so they don’t have to do that. That’s not something I’m going to be in favor of.
