01) A Difficult Subject (The Jimquisition)

“Okay… let’s wade into this debate again. It’s raged for years and has only gotten more poisonous in that time, but we’re gonna step in anyway and try to talk about difficulty options.

Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice is the latest From Software game to spark a debate over difficulty and the merits of an easy mode. We’re gonna talk about how weird the discussion is, and maybe get some elite wisdom from gaming aristocracy!

Sigh… here goes…”

I cannot imagine anyone getting bent out of shape over this.

I’ve never been that big on playing action games…especially hard and fast ones…I’m generally terrible at them, and I just don’t get that much enjoyment out of them.

I like the games that allow you to stop and think…even relish the moment, if it is fitting…

So, I do like the strategy games and simulators, where there is no real pressure.

In addition, my eyes and reflexes aren’t what they used to be…If there weren’t an easy mode or “cheat” MODs, I’d never play many games.

01) Ted Yoho Offers Non-Apology To AOC

“Ted Yoho is sticking to his deplorable morals.

House leaders in both parties moved swiftly on Tuesday to promote civility — and tamp down lingering tensions — by challenging a conservative lawmaker who had accosted a liberal Democrat on the Capitol steps a day earlier.

Confronting Rep. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-N.Y.) on Monday, Rep. Ted Yoho (R-Fla.) had called her “disgusting” and “out of her freaking mind” for promoting the notion that poverty and unemployment have spawned a recent uptick in crime in New York. Moments later, as he walked away, Yoho referred to her with a crude, sexist slur.
