The Moment McConnell Killed The Republican Party…

“This Mitch McConnell decision will lead to the end of the Republican Party as we know it.

Fox News’ Sean Hannity was not happy with Senate Minority Leader Mitch McConnell’s criticism of Donald Trump following the Senate’s acquittal of the former president for inciting the Capitol riot.

McConnell on Saturday voted to acquit Trump in the impeachment trial, then immediately declared Trump morally responsible for provoking the violence that sacked the Capitol and left five people dead.

On Monday, Trump ally Hannity put McConnell on notice. The prime time personality slammed McConnell as “sanctimonious” and accused the seven Senate Republicans who voted to convict Trump as being “way out of touch” with the GOP base.

      “Grand Old Party”.

It’s a kind of subtitle, for the Republican party…because it is the oldest U.S. political party still in power.

Many would scoff at this, and instead call it “an old political disease, that needs to go away”.

The U.S. Republican party is largely the political arm of the religious right and the corporations…while the Democratic party is that of the corporations…and every other party is locked out of the system and process.

Ah, thanks for explaining. The oldest political party still functioning in Brazil seems to be the Brazilian Communist Party, but that’s disputed.

It was originally the Wigs and the Republicans who hogged all the power at the top of this political sham we call “politics”in the U.S…Then the Wigs lost power and the Democrats replaced them.

“Curiously”, no other party has been able to replace the current stooges, no matter how horrible they are.
