“Such restrictions indeed have an appearance of wisdom, with their self-prescribed worship, their false humility, and their harsh treatment of the body; but they are of no value against the indulgence of the flesh.”

Religious Fairy Tales

I agree that the stories are baseless…

…where the problem comes in…is that, if these stories are what gets put in front of atheists [or anyone at all] as claimed proof to convince them…then they are responding to those stories and refuting those stories

…Nothing about refuting what appears to be wrong, makes someone a liar.

Highly deceptive of this guy, to go down that path.

Atheist aren’t against god, they’re against religion

The term atheist means non-theist, or without theism…also meaning, not religious…

…Nothing about this is hidden…It’s right out in the open…It’s in the very title.

Atheists use religion to deny their is a creator

Again…if religion is what people are putting forth as proof…then it is religion and it’s claims that get scrutinized.

This is not a hard concept.

It is theology that pushes the belief in gods, after all…and gods are fundamentally born out of theology.

Where it comes to “a creator”, we could explore philosophically and say that it’s unsubstantiated that any creator was a conscious being…but a creator could have been a force of nature, or a collection of elements and circumstance…

…So…”having a creator” is not necessarily denied by atheists…It’s the idea that a conscious being did it all, which is under scrutiny…because there is just nothing concrete to substantiate the claim.

Saint Thomas

Who can prove that this guy was not lying?

Yes…the layered on dogma and interpretation brings a ton of issues with it…but why give an earlier [or original] source so much credit?…Do you imagine they had no motive to lie and manipulate?…or that they were somehow impervious to mistake?

Atheists only argue against the lies

If it ever turns out that a claim of the existence of a god is substantiated, I promise not to argue against it…but that kind of substantiation is a mighty tall order.

Extraordinary claims demand extraordinary evidence.

Well…this is spinning off into a lot of interesting directions…isn’t it?

The B.S. was told to us by people

…and here you are…a person telling us your thoughts on “a creator”…

I’m guessing that you don’t expect me to accept it through your filter either, as you claim we all need to have a direct relationship with such an unproven entity.

So…why should I accept what you have to say here?

No laws without a creator

You need to understand the principle of social responsibility, and social order.

Rules and consequence come from a desire for safety, equity and reliability.

We punish those who steal or injure…because we don’t want these behaviors degrading our existence and chance of survival.

It has nothing to do with “a creator”.

Humans are more than capable of punishing each other…In fact, many of them seem to quite love the opportunity…no “creator” necessary.

If a child is raped, how will there be justice without a creator or angel to see it?

The child knows, and the incident is not without that witness.

The child eventually grows up, so long as they survive.

There is always that chance for reckoning.

Atheists are some of the biggest losers and liars walking the planet

Well…after listening to you go on and on about all sorts of stuff…invisible angels…and lucifer being a telepathic reptile…Oh my…my, my…

…I think you are not in a position to lecture anyone, nor to call the integrity of another into question.
