Michel Dorais will have an impossible job convincing the manifold agencies that benefit financially from demonising a whole sexual minority group. The sexual abuse industry has a vested interest in maintaining the status quo and will continue to do so until an avalanche of lawsuits engulfs them. That won’t happen till it becomes absolutely illegal to discriminate on the basis of a paedosexuality, and that won’t happen because lawmakers lie at the industry’s core.

Definitely with the “abused don’t normally go on to abuse” statement…The establishment wont like that.

They probably like it being referred to as a preference, though…because that psychologically demotes the status, separating it from socially confirmed sexual orientations.

The problem is, so many people try to define “sexual orientation” within the strict confines of what sex you are attracted to…and they throw out all other factors…when there are a ton of differences out there, in the sexes you find attractive…

…Whatever turns you on…it’s all part of your orientation. You cannot honestly separate it.

I don’t really mind if pedophilia is or not considered a sexual orientation. What the guy said seems to be sound, however. Either way, a sexual preference is unchangeable as well. You can change the name, but the unchangeable nature stays.

It’s always struck me as splitting hairs, which cannot reasonably be split.

What is a sexual preference, as opposed to a sexual orientation?

…I mean, aside from the illusion that the former implies a conscious choice, and the latter implies determined biology?

This has always come off stinking like a social political stunt to me.
