“This week massive questions are being raised at companies that grade video games such as Wata, and sites that deal with auctioning these games off for massive prices. Are they working together in pricing out the average gamer from the retro world? Let’s try and find out! Thanks for watching!”
I stay off of eBay because of this sort of thing.
I’ve encountered enough of these sorts of “auctions”, where it seems “dead” [as in, nobody is placing bids]…the current amount is an enticing bargain…and yet, moments after you place your own bid, you’ve suddenly been “outbid” by another person…and if you outbid them, you’re bid is quickly rendered obsolete, again, and again, and again…
…You just know that someone is setting out there, watching this “auction” like a hawk, with no personal intention of buying the item…they just want to keep pushing the “winning bid” up…or, more to the point, forcing you to pay as much for the item as they can get out of you [if you honestly want it that bad].
It’s an unethical, dubious scam.
I’d rather just buy from an ethical dealer at fair market value, than screw around with this sort of BS.
