All politicians salary should be limited to half of the average lowest level income of the population…
This should be law.
…Then we’ll see how they exist on starvation, poverty wages…and see how quickly they’ll develop an interest in raising income of the masses.
…But, then…
Most of these people already come from wealth and privilege, and/or they’ve become wealthy through capitalism or crime…or they have a major corporation supporting them, with a reward job waiting for them…They have alternative sources of income…Most of these “law makers” likely don’t even need their government income…
…Maybe people of a certain wealth should just be barred from holding government office…
That’s unconstitutional…but you know what?…That would be one beginning step in the right direction…Just completely flush all of the wealth out of the system…Have the common people writing and passing [and repealing] the laws.
…Let only the people who suffer the harshest brunt, make and enforce the rules…
…We’d actually end up with meaningful, humane laws, crafted by people who actually give a shit about the state of things.
