“COMMENT from SUBMITTER:
Not at all sure what your musical tastes are, but I ran across this famous band that nobody has heard of, kind of thing. Ghost, with the T an inverted cross. They show all the trappings of being a religious rock band, but are instead sacrilegious and heretical fronted by an atheist. I’d suggest checking out their hit “Mary on a Cross” video. Pretty good concert footage of the band. The band members dress up as demons, sort of and the fans wear lots of religious attire. The band is a restart of a band from the sixties that made a few ripples back in the day. If you like this stuff, then I’d also suggest you check out their website where they have a series of small skits that in my humble opinion, are as funny as anything the old Second City TV did. Might be a good video to expose your readers to as well. Just a thought from my end. I had to share this with somebody who might appreciate it. GK”
Oh!…I Love Ghost!
Great song, yes…
They’re a band I discovered about two years back…One of the few bands I’ve bought two…three…four?…albums from, over the last year or so.
They toured with Blue Oyster Cult…I’ve watched a number of their videos and interviews…I think they’re on a playlist [probably October], to share at some point.
My musical tastes are actually quite wide…I grew up listening to top 40 stations…So, I got a lot of Heuy Lewis and the News, Tom Petty, Prince, Madonna, Hall & Oates, Tina Turner, Blue Oyster Cult, Journey, Pat Benatar, The Cars, Heart and The Petshop Boys, Sting, mixed in with Boston Van Halen, Scorpions, Def Leppard, Ratt…Some Eurodance stuff…Even the Beatles had a re-release of their number one hits…And this is only scratching the surface.
I even like a little bit of country mixed in…I’m rather fond of 80’s synth wave…I love Libera, also.
I know I’ve shared at least one Ghost video here.
You can find much of the music I’ve shared here in the Just For Fun post series…There’s a lot there…Some of it I love…Some, I just liked something about that specific piece.
My music collection is very large…You could listen for nearly an entire month straight, and never hear the same track twice.
Music has been a big part of my life.
Ghost: The Story So Far (2022 Documentary):
“In this episode, we looked into the anonymous band that resurrected the tunes of old, but could not stay nameless for very long.”
Ghost – Dance Macabre (Official Music Video):
This is the song that got me hooked on Ghost.
