A MAP Has Every Right…

A MAP Has Every Right… …Every Minor Attracted Person has the absolute right…to know themselves for who they are…to express themselves for who they are…and to openly explore the future possibilities of MAPs in this world. The exercise of exploring what is possible, through writing, speech or other media…is part of this human right. A lot of people are very uncomfortable with this…and I’d like to say something to that discomfort… Whether you believe this or not…I know that my own activities over the past two decades, have been rooted in genuinely reducing human suffering. No small part of this process, is clearing away those things which divide us [and cause a breakdown in communication, trust, etc.]…and speaking plainly about the objective facts. A lot of people are emotionally invested in these [and related] issues…To some extent, myself included…But emotions don’t really address the crux of any problem…Nor do they find a way to solve problems. I expect…that I often come off cold or aggressive, when I discuss certain issues…and a lot of people think I’m not showing enough of a submissive demeanor…or respect for those who identify themselves as victims… …Don’t mistake unwavering focus, for a lack of human empathy. I don’t allow myself to be pulled down into quagmires with emotional victims…because it has always proven to be a rabbit hole, leading anywhere except where I intend on going. At most…I take what they have expressed towards me [or the larger MAP community]…and I try to use it as a basis, for some type of constructive expression…I let it inspire something meaningful…without allowing it to devolve into petty fighting. To me…it is extremely important to take the high road…and to counter the abuse [often threats] of other people…with dignified, broadly empathetic, intelligent honesty. It is important to me…to be that one factor, anchoring this dialogue [or these exchanges, at the very least] in calm, reasoned and objective truth. As to any visions I’ve expressed about the future… …I think we who are alive today, are all going to be long dead…before true resolution comes to this specific set of social conflicts…And for those paying attention…they know I’ve expressed this opinion, all along. The battle which falls on the present day MAP’s head…is one of establishing the socially recognized rights…of having a public presence and voice, while simultaneously experiencing the same cultural respect and legal protections as any common person. No…It does not fall upon me to fight the currently loosing battle, of liberating human sexuality… …But a lot of what I do…is quite openly for posterity…It’s to help document what this era of human history was like, for groups who remain persecuted for their sexuality. This era is peculiar…in that a lot of people think “we have arrived where we should be”, once typical gays, lesbians, bisexuals and transgendered are seen as “no different from anybody else”…all the while, we continue to crap all over these other groups in human society…in ways which are nothing but stupid and destructive. …Or, maybe this honestly isn’t so much peculiar, as there have always been groups who’ve been singled out…who’ve been disenfranchised from society…and who’ve been designated as “okay” to abuse… The peculiar point here…is that modern society congratulates itself for being so “socially and sexually progressive”…while maintaining this massive blind spot, to some of the most repugnant widespread abuses towards sexual minorities…It’s an illusion of honesty, which could not be further from the truth. …I think…the larger majority of human beings are better than this. …I think…most people do not want a broken method of thought and activity, which causes grave suffering in others. …I think…most people understand…that when you make things so unbearable for any human demographic [no matter who they are]…it ultimately comes back to haunt and injure everybody. MAP’s have an absolute right of being…and an absolute right of exercising the same rights as anybody else… MAP’s need to learn this…Because they are vital, if humankind is ever to move past this era and mentality of vicious intolerance.
