Free Steam Game: how do you Do It?…

Date: September 16, 2019

01) Steam Game: how do you Do It?…

This has got to be one of the single most peculiar things I have ever found on Steam [].

Strictly speaking, it’s not really a game. From what I’ve gathered, this is a short, silly program that serves as a catalyst for discussion about sex, for parents who have young/small children.

…A conversations starter, of sorts.

I played through it three times, hoping to get the ending where you get caught by the mother [she has a facial expression for it], but that never occurred…and this isn’t interesting enough to do a fourth time.

I’m sharing this because of it’s crazy novelty.

Paralives: An indie life simulation game…

Date: August 25, 2019

01) Introducing Paralives

“You live and then you die. But at least do it in a nice house!

Paralives is an upcoming life simulation indie game.
Build your dream house, create some characters and manage their lives the way you want! The game is currently in development and will be released on Steam for PC and Mac.”

Sounds like The Sims might just get some competition. Hopefully, it is serious competition.

5 Purposely Broken, Unbeatable Games by Dickish Developers…

01) 5 Purposely Broken, Unbeatable Games by Dickish Developers

“Let’s face it, games are getting easier. It could be argued that it’s down to games being more narrative driven and online focused, than the original arcade mentality of constantly trying to nickel and dime you.

But every now and then, a game developer will make a game so hard, it’s literally impossible to beat, not because they want to give you a challenge, oh no siree, but because of more underhanded reasons!

So this episode is dedicated to dev’s deceiving of making you think the game’s impossibly tough, when in truth, they just couldn’t be bothered to finish it.

But, hello you, I’m Guru Larry and I welcome you to Fact Hunt: Five Purposely Broken, unbeatable Games by Dickish Developers

The games I look at are: Smash TV, Robocop, Gladiator, Great Gurianos, Dennis the Menace and Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater 5.”

The ‘AAA’ Industry Can’t Be Trusted To Regulate Its Gambling Problem (The Jimquisition)…

01) The ‘AAA’ Industry Can’t Be Trusted To Regulate Its Gambling Problem (The Jimquisition)

“The game industry is currently making a performance of tackling the loot box debacle, and a performance is what it is.

The ESA announced that console makers will require the odds for in-game gambling purchases to be disclosed. They only did this after the FTC got involved, and they’re only doing it to make a show for the government.

While the ESA and game publishers pretend to be proactive, it’s important to stress that the “AAA” game industry cannot be trusted to regulate itself. It had that chance, it’s repeatedly blown that chance, and it won’t ever take that chance seriously.”

Blaming Games For Mass Shootings Is A Disgusting Distraction (The Jimquisition)…

Date: August 09, 2019

01) Blaming Games For Mass Shootings Is A Disgusting Distraction (The Jimquisition)

“In the wake of multiple mass shootings over a single weekend, politicians with vested interests in shifting the blame pulled their easiest, laziest trick – they blamed videogames.

Donald Trump accused games of glorifying violence in a way that encourages domestic terrorists to go out and commit mass murder. The game industry was rightly offended.

But it’s all stupid nonsense, and it’s designed to be stupid nonsense. The more we argue in circles about videogames, the less we talk about guns, or white nationalism, or whatever else might actually be causing the uniquely American problem of widespread mass murder.”

But see…this is what they do, when they want to push something onto others…

…They just keep forcefully asserting things, while ignoring everything else.

Along the way, as they continue their assault…people who hear them over and over, start becoming conditioned to hearing their false assertions…and after years of this, many start to mistakenly believe it as “fact”…simply because it has become a normal thing for them to hear.

It’s a diversion, yes…but it’s also a long term war, employing psychological warfare.

Many of them legitimately want this end result…banning or shackling video games.
