01) Free-IQTest.net

“The average IQ is 100. Have you wondered what your IQ score is? Our original IQ Test will give you a fast, free and accurate iq score. Take our quick free IQ test and find out just how smart you are.”

I’m pleased to announce, that my IQ remains comfortably above average…at 122…

This is consistent with how I’ve been doing on these tests, over the years…One year may be a few points higher, or a few points lower…but, 122 is right in the neighborhood, for me.

…I’m never joining MENSA…and at this point in my life, I’ll never reach the point of being an IQ genius…

…But I’m still more crafty, creative, explorative, perceptive and insightful, than the average mind.

…If only I could get myself up eight more points…I’d be Gifted!

…So close…Yet, so far away…

02) Which Thanksgiving Side Dish Are You? – Brainfall

BuzzFeed:

“Congratulations! You’re cranberry sauce. You bring a much-needed dose of sweetness and flavor to the party. You’re also far-and-away the easiest side dish to prepare, so thanks for making our lives better.”

Brainfall:

“Your personality is light and pleasant on the surface, but there’s still a certain depth to your character.”

I do love both cranberry sauce and stuffing…I’m satisfied, being these two different side dishes.

Did These Things Happen In The ‘Harry Potter’ Books Or Films?…

….

Date: April 24, 2018

01) Did These Things Happen In The ‘Harry Potter’ Books Or Films?

“Not everything from the Harry Potter books made it into the films. After all it has to be pretty hard to stuff 4,175 pages worth of text into 20 hours of film.”

I guess I know the movies well enough, to get by…A perfect score!

At least one I had to guess at…Another is kind of misleading, and up to interpretation…but I went with the most solid answer, in my opinion.

Whose Famous Military Mind is Most Like Yours?…

….

Date: March 21, 2018

01) Whose Famous Military Mind is Most Like Yours?

“Military history is filled with great thinkers who changed the way wars we fought, peace was won, and nations prepared for conflict. Some even influenced the way business strategy is determined. Which famous military mind is most like yours?”

This one may test your patience…

…There are way to many ridiculous questions…at least one that doesn’t even make sense…some you need to be a history buff to give an intelligent answer for…

By the time I got half way through, I was ready for it to be over…but it mercilessly dragged on…

It would have benefited from being limited to, maybe, a dozen questions.

The Results:

Norman Schwarzkopf

“You don’t believe in getting too deep into conflicts, making you a lot like the general who ran the First Gulf War, General Norman Schwarzkopf. General Schwarzkopf didn’t want to invade Iraq, knowing full well what the results of an occupation would be. Instead, he used a combination of surgical strikes and counterintelligence to move the Iraqi army into position for defeat. Perhaps one of the fastest wars in history, the First Gulf War was fought by showing inflatable tanks to Iraqi spies and passing false reports to the media, while using cutting-edge stealth bombers to pepper targets with laser-guided explosives.”

But still…I’m a “Stormin’ Norman”…Hmmm…

…I guess…That was my war, after all…It might as well be him.

…It’s not like I entered this with any preferences.

“Horned Serpent

Named by Isolt Sayre after the great horned river serpent that has a jewel set into its forehead; Horned Serpent house is sometimes considered to represent the mind of a witch or wizard. It is also said that Horned Serpent favours scholars.”

Given the amount of writing I’ve done over my lifetime…I have to admit…

…This is pretty trippy.

The Wand of Steve Diamond…

….

Date: January 09, 2018

01) Pottermore

Laurel wood with a dragon heartstring core, 12 ½” and rigid flexibility

“Laurel: It is said that a laurel wand cannot perform a dishonourable act, although in the quest for glory (a not uncommon goal for those best suited to these wands), I have known laurel wands perform powerful and sometimes lethal magic. Laurel wands are sometimes called fickle, but this is unfair. The laurel wand seems unable to tolerate laziness in a possessor, and it is in such conditions that it is most easily and willingly won away. Otherwise, it will cleave happily to its first match forever, and indeed has the unusual and engaging attribute of issuing a spontaneous lightning strike if another witch or wizard attempts to steal it.

Dragon: As a rule, dragon heartstrings produce wands with the most power, and which are capable of the most flamboyant spells. Dragon wands tend to learn more quickly than other types. While they can change allegiance if won from their original master, they always bond strongly with the current owner. The dragon wand tends to be easiest to turn to the Dark Arts, though it will not incline that way of its own accord. It is also the most prone of the three cores to accidents, being somewhat temperamental.

12 ½” in length: Most wands will be in the range of between nine and fourteen inches. While I have sold extremely short wands (eight inches and under) and very long wands (over fifteen inches), these are exceptionally rare. In the latter case, a physical peculiarity demanded the excessive wand length. However, abnormally short wands usually select those in whose character something is lacking, rather than because they are physically undersized (many small witches and wizards are chosen by longer wands).

Rigid flexibility: Wand flexibility or rigidity denotes the degree of adaptability and willingness to change possessed by the wand-and-owner pair – although, again, this factor ought not to be considered separately from the wand wood, core and length, nor of the owner’s life experience and style of magic, all of which will combine to make the wand in question unique.”

This is pretty cool…

…I expect, nobody had best mess with me…
