“Overly Secularized Culture”?…
We can talk about that…but I think our culture is not nearly secular enough.
The issue exists with intolerance and aggression…and let’s be honest…inclinations towards domination, which exist within so many religions.
Religions do not have enough practical restrictions on them, to stop them from imprisoning, degrading and tormenting those who are born into them, for example.
Very little about religions is voluntary, for a vast amount of people who find themselves in them.
…And various religions aspire to control governments, hence the population as a whole.
This power greed is wrong.
The taste for dealing out punishment to those different, is wrong.
Religions are complicated…They have a very real dark side to them.
A lot of people do not take this into account, when considering why we do not want religions to be in political power…or overly influential in a culture.
I subscribe to the belief, that religion is best pursued as a private journey among people who self elect to be there…people who understand they are involved for self reasons, personal examination and contemplation…
…Not people who are looking to “zealously save the world from itself”, and “cast out the wicked”.
I fully agree with trying love.

“The Proto-Indo-Europeans of the Pontic Caspian Steppe and other parts of Eastern Europe in the neolithic worshipped a paternal deity who they called Dyḗus ph₂tḗr “sky father”. With comparative linguistics and comparative mythology we can learn a lot about this ancient god from whom Greek Zeus, Roman Jupiter, Irish Dagda, Vedic Dyáuṣ Pitṛ́ and Norse Odin and many others also derive. In this video I explain what we know about the god’s mythic roles relating to cattle, his relationship to other gods in the Indo-European religion and his association with different animals in later pagan religions.
The Sky Father is the most well attested of all the Indo-European gods and is central to our understanding of Proto-Indo-European religion.

“This information will change the way you think about the history of humanities origins. What implications does this have for us today?
In this follow up 2020 documentary WHY ARE WE HERE chapter II Paul Wallis explores the many possible and plausible mistranslations and misinterpretations of our ancient origins. Including the creation story of the Edo People of Southern Nigeria and Benin. The Sons Of Osanobua. The Filipino story of Tagalog. Are the connections dotted over cultures, beliefs, and religious institutions all a coincidence? What are the implications of these translations? Did the Gods come to earth using Ancient Technology? What if THE BIBLE IS NOT ABOUT GOD. But about the Sky People – The Anunnaki?
In Part one here: https://youtu.be/CFKDRArS-HM (WHY ARE WE HERE? A Scary Truth Behind the Original Bible Story | Full Documentary) Paul documents the links within the Sumerian creation account: The word Annunaki, he explains, means “Those who came from the heavens to Earth,” a phrase that made clear their extra terrestrial origins.
Many of the world’s oldest mythologies claim that governance over human society began with dominance over human beings being established by superior beings or “gods.” And then the job of rulership gets handed over at a later stage to human governors or Kings..
The Bible originated from the ancient Sumerian text. Text found with the same story. Pre-dating the Biblical accounts by thousands of years. Documenting Ancient Aliens.
The Sumerian story begins with the rulers coming down from the heavens. And the glyph for these rulers is a symbol pointing to the sky! The Annunaki were from the heavens. They were sky people!”

“What do Emperor Xerxes, Freddie Mercury, and Ireland’s richest citizen Pallonji Mistry have in common? All of them are Zoroastrians. The ancient religion of Iran. This is one of the oldest ongoing religions and altered the course of history by influencing Judaism, Christanity, Islam, and Greek philosophy.
Zoroastrianism was born in ancient Iran at least 3,500 years ago. It all began around 1500BCE give or take a few centuries with the Prophet Zarathustra or Zoroaster as the ancient Greeks called him and so English speakers do too. While we call the religion Zoroastrianism actual Zoroastrians tend to call it Mazdayasna, meaning Worshipper of Mazda.
But today it has only a fraction of the millions of followers it once had. So what is Zoroastrianism, what do Zoroastrians believe, and where do otters fit into it? Well Let’s find out.
I’m happy to have stumbled upon this.
Zoroastrianism is a religion I’ve never known much of anything about, and I’ve wanted to take a closer look at it to figure out why people consider it the precursor to Judaism, Christianity and Islam.

“Everyone knows the basic story of Adam and Eve. They were the first humans, created by God in the Garden of Eden. All was well until a snake tricked Eve into eating an apple, then Eve tricked Adam, then God kicked them both out, and it turned into a whole thing. Well, here’s the real story of Adam and Eve.
If you actually read Genesis, you’ll notice God creates the universe and everything in it twice, and the two accounts directly contradict each other in some places. If you don’t take the creation story literally, as many Christians and Jews don’t, then it’s not an issue, but it’s a huge problem for some Biblical scholars who believe Genesis was one story completely written by Moses.
Some people in history have gone to great lengths to make the two versions mesh, like when they made Adam a hermaphrodite. In the first version of creation, it says God formed Adam and Eve at the same time, and the story used the phrasing:
“… male and female he created them.”
Some early Christian theologians decided this meant that they were made to have both sexes, and while many church leaders were uncomfortable with that idea, it stuck around as a theory for centuries.
The two versions of creation are also where the idea of Lilith comes from, and Jewish mythology says she was Adam’s first wife. She later became a demon, as usually happens in these stories. Lilith is the woman mentioned in the first creation story, while Eve is the one made later from one of Adam’s bones.

You have to be really, really, really out there, to take it literally.

“Greek Orthodoxy has always been a bit of a mystery to me, and I wanted to get a clearer sense of what it’s all about so I drove down to the Assumption Cathedral in Denver, Colorado and spent the morning getting answers straight from the source.
Huge thanks to Father Chris Margaritis for taking the time to hang out!”
Interesting video…I’ve never before seen the inside of a temple [church?], of this sect.
