01) Mother

“As a child, I tore apart inconsiderately a ball mother made for me. This memory, like a deep needle, lies heavily in my heart.”
The creator examines her own childhood experience. Via rumination and transformation, she expresses what she feels in animation. After challenging the transference and deconstruction of power, motherhood has always been like a quiet, flowing, stretched stream, injecting life and affection from unseen end.”

In 2016, Kinky Sex is the New Norm…

01) PlayBoy Magazine: In 2016, Kinky Sex is the New Norm

[Dr. Michael] Aaron points out that from a scientific perspective, there’s no connection between sexual kinks and psychopathology. “Healthy sexuality encompasses so much beyond traditional notions of intimacy,” he writes. “A fixation on traditional notions of intimacy leads to far ‘unhealthier’ sex than just going with the flow and surrendering to whatever the moment lends itself to.” Sexual intimacy can also mean different things to different people and still be healthy.

there is no scientific evidence proving that problematic sexual behavior is similar to drug or alcohol addiction.

The popularity of “sex addiction” as a pathological condition is just another way sex has been used to control us.

Research suggests that paraphilias (or unusual sexual interests) are like a sexual orientation in that they are with you early in life and can’t be changed, no matter how hard you try.

A purely environmental, trauma-based explanation simply does not hold up. And scientific evidence confirms this.”

Interesting article…

Once again…let us pause and acknowledge that there is nothing about being a pedophile, which makes it a psychopathology.

While I’d hardly dismiss being a pedophile to the category of “a sexual kink”…the point is still entirely relevant.

As a side note…there has been a long debate, over what separates a sexual orientation from a sexual fetish…And certain people [who I presume wish to diminish it’s legitimacy] have argued, that pedophilia is nothing more than a sexual fetish.

My preferred distinction was introduced to me, a handful of years back…

It defines sexual orientations as attraction to a reciprocating, sentient being…Whereas a fetish somehow involves a non-living item…anything that has no possibility, whatsoever, of comprehending anything at all.

Fetishes are more about using tools of enhancement…

…Orientation is about who you are naturally inclined to be with.

Those arguing that pedophilia is a fetish…are essentially trying to tell us…that children have cognition, ability of communication and senses, equivalent to that of a lifeless sex toy.

Putting aside the outrageous fallacy in that…They are also [I think willfully, in most cases] ignoring that the alleged “inability of a child to consent” is a legal construction…It is not a law of nature.

I’ve always thought that “sex addiction” was largely a whole lot of flim flam…from yet another, newly emerging “sex treatment” [sex exploitation, is more accurate] industry.

Sure…some people have a harder time getting a handle on their sex life…But how many people honestly need clinics and sex therapists?

It seems to me…these things have moved in and filled the void, that’s been left by that fact that we are so up tight about talking about sex, even in our normal support structures [ie: family]…Now you seek out strangers and pay them for the advice, because you’re too embarrassed and fearful of discussing it with people you know.

…It’s just sad.

…It also shows why Alfred Kinsey’s word was [and still is] so important…and why it’s persecution is so detrimental…

…For as loose as we seem to appear on the surface…there remains this massive disconnect of communication and understanding [and hence, often a lack of social empathy, and support structures]…People who have these kinks they’re too embarrassed to talk about, don’t even understand how normal they factually are…And they are isolated from any avenue, to come to terms with it.

Not even knowing where you stand, makes you vulnerable to the whims of larger society…as well as that of those who would profit off of your suffering…

…Absolutely the same quandary, we pedophiles find ourselves in.

Go read the article…It’s a good one.

Ecuador Turns Off Julian Assange’s Internet…

01) Ecuador Turns Off Julian Assange’s Internet

“Ecuador has confirmed that it has temporarily cut off internet access in its embassy in London to Julian Assange, the founder of the whistleblowing site WikiLeaks, over fears that he was using it to interfere in the US presidential election.

The move followed the publication of leaked emails by WikiLeaks, including some from the Democratic National Committee (DNC) released just before the party’s convention in July, and more recently a cache of emails from the account of Hillary Clinton campaign adviser John Podesta.

On Tuesday, officials released a statement saying that the government of Ecuador“respects the principle of non-intervention in the internal affairs of other states” and had cut off the internet access available to Assange because “in recent weeks, WikiLeaks has published a wealth of documents, impacting on the US election campaign.”

Todd Nickerson’s Dark Room interview…

01) Episode #44 -Todd Nickerson

“They are arguably the most stigmatized group in our midst: pedophiles. The mere mention of them often evokes apprehension and even disgust, thought at once to be violators of the young and destroyers of innocence.

Paul and Jordan talk to pedophile, Todd Nickerson, about what life has been like since publicly admitting his troubling proclivity for children and why, as someone committed to never acting on his sexual desires, he rejects being called a “monster.” Despite intense societal opposition, Todd, through writing and advocacy, is intent on dispelling the myth that all pedophiles are criminals.”

Where the Reactions of Sex Abuse Victims Go Very Wrong…

I’m more interested in the comment of Bobbi Parish, than that of Captain Janeway…

…But I acknowledge Nigel’s pointing out, that just because someone is labeled “sexually abused”, doesn’t mean that mental illness is likely in their personal circumstances.

In some cases…”sexual abuse” means nothing more, than consensual sex which is socially reviled.

…Those cases are not unlike how they talked about [and mistreated] homosexuals, a few decades ago…They are framed in such a way, that it psychologically debases their legitimacy…and it makes it very hard to change things…or talk about them, in consistency with how they actually are.

“I want all survivors to understand that most of their reactions to abuse are perfectly normal and NOT disordered or wrong” – Bobbi Parish

I cannot speak to all manner of reactions [and behaviors] of self identified abuse survivors…

…But I can say there is one general type of behavior, I wish the abuse survivor community would recognize, own up to…and work to correct.

It’s like an endless onslaught…

…Just about anywhere a Minor Attracted Person [MAP] makes an appearance…you find self identified “abuse survivors” [along with other assorted fanatics], piling on just to threaten and abuse the MAP.

Sometimes this goes all the way to libeling…or even graphic, terroristic death threats.

I witness this kind of behavior pretty much all the time…And not much has changed, since the time when I was more active in MAP issues.

There are no circumstances at all, where that kind of behavior is acceptable.

In my reasonable opinion…some of these cases should be eligible for criminal prosecution…”Abuse survivors” should not get a free pass, just because they have some false belief they are entitled to do it.

This is something the abuse survivor community needs to address, and bring to heel…

…We MAPs are not out here for the purpose of providing anyone, with a jolly ol time of sadistic bashing and tormenting.

…You have no right to treat us as anything less, than dignified, sincere and decent human beings.

“If you feel like Internet ads are more pervasive and invasive than ever before, you’re not alone. Author Tim Wu tells Fresh Air’s Terry Gross that the Web has gotten worse over the years, not better — and unrelenting ads are to blame.

“I think you spend 50 percent of your mental energy trying to defeat ad systems,” Wu says. “It’s amazing that we’ve got this great scientific invention, the Web and the Internet, and then it has come to the point where using it reminds me of swatting mosquitoes.”
