Great Rights! [22:51]

01) Exorable

02) Heart of Gold (E-Piano-Smooth)

03) Gadabout

04) Angularity

05) Sweet Dreams [acoustic guitar]

06) Neo

07) Generations

“Great Rights!” is my eighth musical album. At 22 minutes and 51 seconds, it’s tending towards the shorter of my albums…but there is still some good stuff here. I confess, that I padded this one with a few tracks I was not going to release…but later figured, why not?

Exorable – A nice track…jazz…Not really a personal favorite, but it works as a song.

Heart of Gold (E-Piano-Smooth) – A highlight…This one turned out really nice.

Gadabout – Glorified bumper music, honestly…but it’s pretty cool.

Angularity – Nice…Not really deep…but slow and haunting…

Sweet Dreams [acoustic guitar] – Another highlight, and a personal favorite.

Neo – Rescued from a “warehouse” folder, where it was likely to be forgotten…I have to admit, this one is actually pretty decent.

Generations – The most “iffy” track here…Mixing the different genres like this, was experimental…very. I didn’t intend to release this, ever…But it’s kind of cool…and this collection needed some padding…A good track to bring things to an end, I think.

Into The Night [27:39]

01) Phantasmagoric

02) Moonlight Sonata (Cathedral-Organ)

03) Under

04) Snowbell

05) Music of the Night (Cathedral-Organ)

06) Wish You Were Here (Cathedral-Organ)

07) Raven (Cathedral-Organ)

08) FF2 (Cathedral-Organ)

What can I say about this album?…

…It’s album number seven.

…At 27 minutes and 39 seconds, this has eclipsed “Diamonds Are Forever” [by twelve seconds], to become the longest of my mini-albums.

It is a nice collection of music…with a lot of noteworthy organ music…And just some straight up good music. I hope you enjoy it.

01) Phantasmagoric – Just an interesting intro…I did not properly fade this track out, so it ends abruptly.

02) Moonlight Sonata (Cathedral-Organ) – Never let it be said, I do not appreciate Beethoven…amongst other classical musicians.

03) Under – A yummy little track…Quite catchy.

04) Snowbell – Kind of a stand out…This is really pieced together from a “movie soundtrack” category of clips [which I have license to use]. Turned out really nice, though I hesitated to put it on this album…An album almost entirely made of cathedral organ music.

05) Music of the Night (Cathedral-Organ) – From Phantom Of The Opera.

06) Wish You Were Here (Cathedral-Organ) – An alternative version of the Pink Floyd hit.

07) Raven (Cathedral-Organ) – An alternative version of Raven.

08) FF2 (Cathedral-Organ) – From Final Fantasy 2.

Album: A Personal Affair

A Personal Affair [25:06]

01) The Beginning [piano]

02) Adtesus

03) Wish You Were Here [e-guitar]

04) A Vast Wonder

05) Agaze

06) Forgotten [acoustic guitar]

07) Pontevedra

08) Unicorn Horn [piano]

09) Raven [acoustic guitar]

At 25 minutes and 6 seconds, A Personal Affair is now my second longest mini musical album. I am extremely pleased with this collection of music, as it is all quite well done…and a strong collection.

This is the most refined album yet…and the most personally relevant, in terms of song choices selected. I almost want to call this one my pinnacle…thus far [excluding the holiday album]…

Maybe with the exception of one…these are all carefully selected tracks, which represent facets of me…and a walk down memory lane…Most of these tracks reflect upon my personal life, in some way.

A Personal Affair:

01) The Beginning [piano] – This version of “The Beginning”, is a straight forward piano rendition. This song was a midi which played in the background at my website, “The Midnight Archives”. I always loved this song.

02) Adtesus – I don’t remember what exactly brought Adtesus to me…but it instantly clicked with my love for “chivalrous” fantasy style music…This is a flute version.

03) Wish You Were Here [e-guitar] – This has already been released, as a sentimental kind of gesture on IBLD…It is an electric guitar version of a song by Pink Floyd…One of my favorites.

04) A Vast Wonder – Beautiful track…”Celestial” music…One of the better, I’ve been able to put together.

05) Agaze – A tiny landmark…Nothing of this existed, not even as pre-recorded bits of music or midi patterns…I created this very simple, yet beautiful, piece of music. For me, this is a pure joy.

06) Forgotten [acoustic guitar] – Yes that is exactly what this is…a wonderful, acoustic guitar version of my favorite track from Final Fantasy 7. The abandoned shell city was one of my favorite places in the game…I love this song.

07) Pontevedra – The only track on this album which comes close to being “filler”…But that’s only because I did not put a whole lot into this one…It’s just a nicely stylish track, which fits into where I was going with this album. It sounds like “night club” music.

08) Unicorn Horn [piano] – I’ve had a midi copy of this since my early days on the internet, which I used in a very obscure project many years ago…and it is another one of my favorite “fantasy” style songs.

09) Raven [acoustic guitar] – An acoustic guitar rendition of the gorgeous song “Raven”…This one, is a bona fide piece of art…And it is one of my all time favorites, of my acoustic guitar tracks.

Quality wise, I don’t know if I am ever going to top this Album, but I’ve got a lot more good material in the cue…and a lot of other material to work with…So, the end is not in sight…And there will probably be another album or two, of a more personal nature…One day, I hope to craft an album of strictly personal music…Hopefully, it will be listenable.

The next album I release will probably have a relatively consistent theme, also…It should be good.

Yet another one is slated for later release…which also should be a good offering.

…Beyond this, I am likely to go back to releasing whatever decent music, I can manage to competently crank out.

…Vimeo: H01) Songs of the Winter Château [Video Exhibition]…

…YouTube: H01) Songs of the Winter Château [Video Exhibition]…

“Songs of the Winter Château”, my first holiday album, is now in video form.

Aside from one mildly awkward ten second “pause” I forgot to edit out on the end of a track, this flows like a normal album.

24) Little Drummer Boy

I present to you the gift of my first Yule Time album, and my first truly proper album.

I honestly did put a lot of work into this project, having started it back in September [2014]…where it was then only a concept.

This track selection consists of personally chosen, mostly secular, Yule Time [or Christmas, if you will] songs, which span from previous centuries into more modern times.

At 46 minutes and 51 seconds, this is hands down my longest album…But for 24 songs, it was a little bit shocking that this still did not manage to fill an entire hour. Most of these tracks are really short…like, one to two minutes short…A few don’t even hit a full minute…For some of these tracks, it was an editorial decision not to allow them to go on too long.

Not really much else to say about this album, except that I am very happy to have completed it and released it to the community.

Happy Holidays!

– Steve

The Black List [Video Exhibition]…

………..
….

Date: November 26, 2014

I’ve released a video exhibition version of “The Black List”, on both Vimeo and YouTube. In the process, I’ve tried to level out the music volume a bit. It’s not perfect, but I think it might be a bit better. Plus, you can listen to the complete collection in one video file.

I intend on rereleasing my past albums this way, and future albums also.

Album: New Frontiers…

New Frontiers [18:34]

01) A Lovers Tale

02) Scrambled Heads

03) New Frontiers

04) Relax [meditation]

05) Emigdau [church organ]

06) Techno 01

07) JD5 [brass]

08) The Bells of Light

I wont normally release albums “back to back”…but since 80% of this album has already been released, and has been available in the Jukebox below for a while, I figured I should just get this one published.

At eighteen minutes and thirty four seconds, New Frontiers presently sets right in the middle of all five released albums, in terms of running length.

A fairly quick listen, but there is some rather nice stuff here…It’s a “fresh” set, without a lot of alternate track repetition [ie: same song from previous albums, different style]…Which is nice, and makes this album a bit more unique. The alternate tracks included here, are both quite good…And this is their “world release”…

New Frontiers is kind of the “flip side” to a coin, compared with “Faces of Time”…which was virtually all unreleased tracks…This is virtually all previously released tracks [individually], with two new releases.

…But, this is the first time they’ve been presented as a set…and I really like this set.

New Frontiers

01) A Lovers Tale – Totally organic “me”! Nothing of this existed, prior to my firing up the synthesizer.

02) Scrambled Heads – Love this track! A great, crazy sound.

03) New Frontiers – This was created for the “Our Love Frontier” podcast…Which is supposed to be my re-entry into podcasting.

04) Relax [meditation] – An explorative experiment…Don’t know if I’m going to try this again, or not.

05) Emigdau [church organ] – Brand new release! What can I say?…This one is great.

06) Techno 01 – A nice techno theme.

07) JD5 [brass] – Brand new release! This is my favorite version of JD5.

08) The Bells of Light – A simple track to end the collection. Nothing to scream about, but nice.

Faces of Time

01) Dreams [strings]

02) Memory

03) Out There

04) JD5 [strings]

05) DreamChaser [piano]

06) Emigdau [guitar]

07) Panorama

08) Beauty and the Beast [strings]

The running time of this album is 24 minutes and 9 seconds…which makes this the third longest album I’ve released, thus far.

In terms of track quality, I think this is the most solid collection I’ve released to date…There is no weak track here. There are a lot of new releases on this one…I hope you enjoy them.

01) Dreams [strings] – An old recording…but one of my favorites.

02) Memory – A new release. I’ve been setting on this one for a while. It is nice.

03) Out There – “Space Music”…While this has already been released, it is relatively new.

04) JD5 [strings] – A new release. I love this recording.

05) DreamChaser [piano] – A new release. I love this music. This is the piano version.

06) Emigdau [guitar] – A new release. Hands down, a top favorite out of everything I’ve managed to crank out, thus far. There are some rivals, which will be released in the future.

07) Panorama – More “Space Music”…But I got a good bit more “hands on” involved, with this track.

08) Beauty and the Beast [strings] – A new release. The last version I recorded of this song. My milking of “Beauty and the Beast” is done. 🙂
