Youtubes $750 MILLION ad boycott – what caused it?…

Date: April 09, 2017

01) Youtubes $750 MILLION ad boycott… what caused it?

“An article by the Wall Street Journal caused almost a billion dollars of advertising to be withdrawn from youtube.
Apparently they found ads for things like coke along side offensive material!
However the article doesnt so much show youtube advertises coke along side offensive material, but the WSJ doesnt understand how targeted ads work.

The thing that makes even less sense is the stampede of companies who withdrew almost a billion dollars in advertising from youtube.

Youtubes response has also been wierd!

Honestly I’ve been left very baffled by all of this. It seems like a cascade of people with ill-informed, knee-jerk responses all doing stupid things at the same time. Coherent patterns are very hard to find here.”

01) Unnatural

“Unnatural is a story about a young man’s struggle with pedophilia. Suffocated by his sexual thoughts and inability to seek help, all James wants to be is “normal”. Can Izzy and his family see past his sexual identity or will they always perceive him to be a monster?”

Vigilante paedo hunters Dark Justice win landmark court ruling…

01) LICENCE TO CATCH PERVS Vigilante paedo hunters Dark Justice win landmark court ruling giving them total freedom to entrap perverts

“Dark Justice film themselves meeting paedophiles in public who were under the impression they were meeting kids for sex.

Their work has lead to 42 convictions and their videos are often circulated online.

Defence lawyers argued that Dark Justice should be subject to regulation to prevent the law from being “evaded” and that any evidence gathered by them should not be used in court.

Mr Justice Langstaff said there was no legal requirement for the activities by the group to be subjected to controls.

Dark Justice is an anonymous group consisting of two men who pose as kids online to snare people trying to meet children.

The men claim to be underage children when adults contact their fake profile and turn up with a video camera and the police en route if any meeting is arranged.”

Nobody should be under the impression, that even standing governments in allegedly civilized countries, care to step in and end the “open season” attitude on MAPs.

However foolish as it is to seek such things online…there still should be laws against what groups like Dark Justice do.

Their behavior falls well outside of safe and reasonable conduct.

Even if they felt it necessary to hand recordings over to law enforcement…there is simply no excuse for openly publishing it, for anyone to gawk at…or worse.

Social Movements: What It Takes To Go From Protest To Policy…

Date: April 08, 2017

01) Direct Download [MP3]

“The weekend’s women’s marches across the country have been estimated as the biggest one-day protest in American history. Eight years ago, after President Obama’s inauguration, a much smaller Tea Party birthed a national movement that reset the Republican agenda, arguably setting the stage for candidate Donald Trump. So how might the women’s march move from protest to policy?”

I hesitated sharing this, because of the Black Lives Matter person featured…But, she’s a small part of the show…so…

It’s nothing personal, of course…I just have a very hard time taking something serious, when they put Black Lives Matter forward, as some sort of authoritative source of information.

From what I’ve seen out of them, thus far…they’ve been little more than a train wreck.

That point aside…this is an interesting show.

YouTube: Striking Back…

01) Striking Back

“I believe that so far most attempts at defending the youtube platform from mainstream media attacks have failed, mainly due to the fact that there is no goal that sides can agree upon and no plan of action. Most have gone and tried their best to pick up leads on their own. And I believe that the most important thing to do before an attack against those coming after the youtube community can even be undertaken, is to build up a defense of what the media has tried to and partialy even successfully destroyed.”
