“Police forces across the Western world protect Islam over the rights of Western citizens. This cannot continue, Muslims must learn to accept criticism of Islam.”
Not a fan of all the people featured…But, this issue is relevant, I think.
No religious people should be so defensive [or offensive], that only other people of their religion can safely approach them.
No religion is above critical commentary.

“According to immigrant-rights advocates, a 6-year-old girl separated from her mother under the Trump administration’s “zero-tolerance” immigration policy was sexually abused while at an Arizona detention facility run by Southwest Key Programs. The child was then made to sign a form acknowledging that she was told to maintain her distance from her alleged abuser, who is an older child being held at the same detention facility.
The girl, who is only identified by the initials D.L., and her mother had been fleeing gang violence in their native Guatemala. According to the family, the pair entered the United States at a point of entry in El Paso, Texas, on May 24, where they presented Border Patrol authorities with paperwork claiming that they had “credible fear” that returning to Guatemala would result in harm. On May 26, government officials separated D.L. from her mother and sent her to Casa Glendale, a shelter outside of Phoenix operated by Southwest Key Programs. It was there that the alleged abuse occurred.
…On June 11, D.L.’s father received a phone call from Southwest Key explaining that a boy had fondled his daughter and other girls. According to family spokesperson Mark Lane, D.L.’s father was told not to worry, because Southwest Key was changing some of its protocols and such abuse would not happen again.
…Lane says that D.L.’s father asked to speak with a social worker, but, despite promises from the facility, he never heard from one.
A Southwest Key Programs document obtained by The Nation confirms that D.L. was reported to have been sexually abused on June 4, 2018. On June 12, one day after D.L.’s father was contacted, the 6-year-old girl was presented with the form stating that, as part of the facility’s intervention protocol, she had been instructed to “maintain my distance from the other youth involved” and had been provided “psychoeducation,” described in the document as “reporting abuse” and “good touch bad touch.” The form…shows D.L’s “signature”—a single letter “D,” next to the characterization of her as “tender age”—which supposedly confirms that D.L understands “that it is my responsibility to follow the safety plan” reviewed with her.
On June 22, Southwest Key again contacted D.L.’s father and informed him that the same boy initially cited for abuse had hit and fondled D.L. again.
In Texas, where the nonprofit operates a number of children’s shelters, facilities have been cited for hundreds of violations over the past three years. Southwest Key is expected to be paid $458 million by the federal government this year.”
My…what a sticky web we weave…mmmmmm?…
The same government which terrorizes MAPs like me, based on it’s own demented paranoia [that I’m supposedly going to rape or grope somebody]…has made an open path for little children to be forced into sexual encounters…
Given the insanity and incompetence of the U.S. government…this is no shock at all, to anybody who actually pays attention…
…It is, however, useful to note and document this sort of thing, wherever it happens.
…Because she’s a Mexican six year old, she got one brief counseling session, along with demands that she maintain a distance from the boy who sexually touched her?
…That’s quite the about face, given how allegedly “life destroying” a sexual touch is claimed to be for a prepubescent child…isn’t it?…
…I mean…these are the U.S. government’s official hands and representatives, to carry out these children’s protection, after all…
…Just seems mighty hypocritical, to me.
And one last elephant in this room…
…Will there be no prosecution, with regards to the boy who allegedly assaulted all these Mexican girls?…
This happened inside a U.S. jurisdiction, where it is objectively a crime, after all.
…If it happens at the hands of a citizen, which the U.S. government considers it’s own property, they’re all over that opportunity to virtue signal, and get another human body into their punitive, surveillance and slave labor chattel system…even when the alleged act took place, outside of U.S. jurisdictions…
…But, where it comes to kids they cant legally keep and detain, indefinitely?…or just don’t care about?…
…I guess, these kid’s trauma isn’t so relevant, where there’s no path to political power and financial profit in the mix.
…Am I wrong?

“For the first time in decades, it’s hard to ignore the threat of nuclear war. But as long as you’re far from the blast, you’re safe, right? Wrong. In this sobering talk, atmospheric scientist Brian Toon explains how even a small nuclear war could destroy all life on earth — and what we can do to prevent it. A professor in the Department of Atmospheric and Oceanic Sciences at the University of Colorado-Boulder, Brian Toon investigates the causes of the ozone hole, how volcanic eruptions alter the climate, how ancient Mars had flowing rivers, and the environmental impacts of nuclear war. He contributed to the U.N.’s Nobel Peace Prize for climate change and holds numerous scientific awards, including two NASA medals for Exceptional Scientific Achievement. He is an avid woodworker.”

“The following proposal was approved by the DSM Steering Committee and are being posted for a 45-day public comment period.
Comment Period Opens: July 16, 2018
Comment Period Closes: August 29, 2018
Proposal: Text Change to the Development and Course of Pedophilia
The DSM Steering Committee received a proposal requesting that a change be made to a portion of the text in the Development and Course section of Pedophilic Disorder. Specifically, the proposal pointed to a statement in the text that it claimed was inaccurate: “pedophilia per se appears to be a lifelong condition.” The proposal suggested that there is insufficient evidence to support this conclusion and that this statement could potentially create deleterious consequences for individuals who undergo evaluation for pedophilia. The proposal recommended that the statement be deleted and replaced with a statement reflecting that very little is known about the persistence of pedophilia over time.
After review of the relevant literature by the DSM Review Committee on Externalizing Disorders and by the Steering Committee, the following change to the text of the DSM is being proposed.
1.Omit the sentence “Pedophilia per se appears to be a lifelong condition” from paragraph 2 on p. 699 (under the heading “Development and Course”), without replacing it (i.e., simply delete it).
2.Have the remainder of what is now paragraph 2 continue as an extension of paragraph 1, with the first part of the sentence after the omitted one amended to read: “Pedophilic disorder includes elements that may change over time…”
With these revisions, the passage of text in question would read as follows: “…Hence, Criterion C requires for diagnosis a minimum age of 16 years and at least 5 years older than the child or children in Criterion A. Pedophilic disorder includes elements that may change over time with or without treatment:…”
DSM-5 p. 699:
Development and Course
Adult males with pedophilic disorder may indicate that they become aware of strong or preferential sexual interest in children around the time of puberty — the same time frame in which males who later prefer physically mature partners become aware of their sexual interest in women or men. Attempting to diagnose pedophilic disorder at the age at which it first manifests is problematic because of the difficulty during adolescent development in differentiating it from age-appropriate sexual interest in peers or from sexual curiosity. Hence, Criterion C requires for diagnosis a minimum age of 16 years and at least 5 years older than the child or children in Criterion A.
Adults with pedophilic disorder may report an awareness of sexual interest in children that preceded engaging in sexual behavior involving children or self-identification as a pedophile. Advanced age is as likely to similarly diminish the frequency of sexual behavior involving children as it does other paraphilically motivated and normophilic sexual behavior.

It was utterly stupid that Roseanne got fired.
It was utterly stupid, that people organized around the goal of getting Roseanne fired…
…It is utterly stupid…that so many people out there, imagine this type of social vindictiveness is acceptable.
…May these masses of utterly stupid people never have the ill fortune, of facing the “justice” they’ve worked so hard to make our present social norm…
Poetic justice aside…this behavior is nothing more than social cancer.
They are creating a monster, nobody will be able to control.

“A new poll shows President Trump has lost support among his blue-collar base in the wake of his much criticized Helsinki news conference with Russian President Vladimir Putin. The survey from Quinnipiac University shows a drop of eight percentage points among white voters without a college degree, compared to the organization’s last national poll.
In June, 57 percent of these voters approved of the president’s job performance, but that number now stands at 49 percent. Conversely, the number of those who disapprove has also increased, from 36 percent to 47 percent. Trump’s other key demographic — white men — saw a five-point dip in support from a 54 percent approval rating last month to 49 percent in the latest poll. Those who disapprove also grew by five points.
“Whether it is with love or not, President Donald Trump’s relationship with Russia has delivered a small blow to his already poor standing with the American people,” said Peter Brown, assistant director of the Quinnipiac poll.

“WASHINGTON—Education Secretary Betsy DeVos is planning to repeal an Obama-era rule that aimed to penalize for-profit colleges that leave their students with unreasonable debt and poor job prospects, according to people familiar with the plan.
The Obama administration drafted the rule, known as the “gainful employment” provision, to crack down on career-education schools, many of which operate as for-profits, if students graduate without meaningful job opportunities and with debts they cannot pay off.
