Distorted Views “If we allow this type of sexual freedom, more children will be taken advantage of and assaulted.” I would like to sincerely ask, what is it you believe you are accomplishing, in maintaining distorted views on issues like pedophilia? There is a harsh reality here, which many people like to absolve themselves from all responsibility of… Hidden behind the black and white dogma, where “pedophiles are responsible for every bad thing, while at the same time, unrestrained social and moral crusades never will be responsible for any negative impact”…is a simple point that, absolute intolerance and insane penalties have created a very real trade off…They have not made the world more safe for children…Instead, they have polarized and intensified this issue to the point, where level headed behavior has been marginalized entirely out of the picture. There needs to be honesty in this discussion…It needs to be understood, that in the wake of modern sex laws, a number of children have been murdered because the penalties for even the lightest of “molestation” are so severe… People want to throw blame around at others, instead of looking at themselves…and we’ve got a lot of groups, which lack the depth of character to be self reflective…to admit that they play a crucial role, in the murder and assault of those children…In their pursuit to end that sort of thing, they create a monster which actually fosters the very same thing. Any ideal of “stamping out the existence of pedophiles”, is an illusion divorced from reality…And if such is your stated goal, then you are not even serious, as someone looking for solutions…Your view is naive, and incompetent…and in worse cases, it is predatory. You’re never going to eradicate this type of human sexuality…It is just never going to happen…So why not come to terms, and learn how to live with it? In this real world, which has been created by a war on human sexuality…I have to ask those behind the war…whether these trade offs are worth it?…What is the “acceptable balance”?… Are the rare cases of child abduction and murder “acceptable casualties”, when compared to all the cases of “molestation” you believe you have stopped? It is all theoretical, after all…as there is no way possible, to prove that “molestations” which never took place, would have otherwise happened had your extreme laws not existed. See…I do not buy into this notion…that because you have successfully managed to create a world, where a number of us are forced by conscience and circumstance to live a sexually celibate life…supposedly, children are safer for it… Such is an extremely naive viewpoint, employing tunnel vision. In reality…what you have created, is a world with more extreme consequences…including consequences to children. This whole issue reminds me tremendously of the gun control debate, in the USA… Many people rightly argue, that taking guns away from themselves will do nothing to solve gun violence…because they are not the ones inclined, to commit gun violence…Yet, the prohibitionists still want those guns, and it is creating a heated social tension…one where social outbursts by those feeling threatened [and angered] by prohibition, are much more likely… …People have been relentlessly pressing, to strip all of us Child-Lovers [and Teen-Lovers] of every single avenue of expression, and connection too, an indispensable part of what makes us who we are as human beings…the very sexuality, which exists beneath our own skin…a fundamental aspect of living, which cannot be stolen without deep injury… …All of this has been happening to people, who are not inclined to be sexually violent…nor inclined to have unwilling sexual companions…Yet, nobody wants to hear this…Nobody wants to understand this critical point. If you want to combat things which factually hurt children…Then you need to focus on those things and people, who are factually hurting children… Targeting minorities, and cultural things which you simply wish did not exist…is going to do nothing, to better any situation. Can we not eventually learn from history, and realize that the so called medicine is far worse than the alleged disease?
