“Republican Representative Lauren Boebert is not doing well with her reelection campaign, and her third quarter fundraising was pathetic compared to her competitors. Not only did she get outraised 4 to 1 by her Democratic opponent, but her Republican primary challenger managed to pull in half of what Boebert raised. On top of that, Boebert has been consistently trailing in the polls, and her antics recently aren’t helping her case. Farron Cousins explains what’s happening.

Lauren Bert’s reelection campaign is going down in flames much faster and basically much harder than any of us ever could have imagined. Granted, the election is still, you know, 12 and a half months away, but as things stand right now, Bobert is getting crushed. Not only in the polls that show her Democratic challenger out, Adam Frisch handily defeating her, but in the fundraising department, Bobert, her most recent financial disclosure for the third quarter says that she only raised about $854,000. $854,000 over a three month span. For a second term member of Congress, seeking a third term is very weak, especially when you consider the fact that Adam Fri actually outraised her four to one. So for every $1, Bobert got, Adam Fris got four, he ended the third quarter with $3.2 million raised. Now, don’t get your hopes up too much on that because as I’ve talked about in the past, money flows from all over the country from people who cannot vote in that race.

So the fundraising alone is not necessarily an indication that Frisch is going to just level Bobert in the election. Now it does give him more money to run ads, and obviously there’s lots of material to run ads on about Lauren Bobert. I mean, I think the first thing that comes to mind is Beetlejuice. Uh, you could show that footage repeatedly, constantly, nonstop on the air to remind people how the only time Lauren Bobert wants to reach across the aisle is when her, well, you know, I’ll leave it at that. Use your imagination or watch the video and see for yourself. So that’s probably not gonna play too well for her. Then of course, you have her most recent antics last week when she decided that she did not want to empower the temporary speaker of the house. Patrick McHenry came out vocally against that.

So that embarrassed her district, the Beetlejuice thing, definitely embarrassed her district. She’s been embarrassing her district all year, going all the way back to January when she opposed Kevin McCarthy being speaker and interviews with her own constituents showed that even though she’d only been back in Congress for a second term for a couple days, they were already sick of her. So sick of her. In fact, that it brings me back to the campaign money for the third quarter, and Lauren Bobert has a Republican challenger. Lauren Bobert not only has a Republican challenger, Lauren Bobert has a Republican challenger that’s actually doing pretty good. Her challenger man by the name of Jeff Herd raised $412,000 in the third quarter. Now, she raised 8 54, he raised four 12, so

He got almost half of what she got. Here’s the thing, Lauren Bobert, before she even gets to face off against Adam Frisch, has to win her primary A. And this is a part of the equation that honestly, up to this point I hadn’t really been considering. You know, it was assumed Lauren Bobert, again, she’s in her second term, seeking her third, that she would be the nominee. But if those constituents are tired enough of her, they could easily just say, well, I don’t wanna vote for a Democrat. Definitely don’t wanna vote for Bobert. So what I can do is I can just vote for the other Republican, right? We can remove Lauren Bobert from the ballot and replace her with a Republican who’s not gonna embarrass us every five seconds. So that is definitely something to keep an eye on, um, es especially as we go forward.

But another way that that hurts Bobert is instead of using her poultry, you know, campaign money that she has, ’cause she doesn’t have a ton of it, she’s not gonna be able to use it for the general election fight. She’s gonna have to blow through that money on a primary fight. So even if she survives the primary, it’s gonna be a PY victory and she’s not gonna have the funds necessary to fight off the onslaught from Adam Fri because he’s sitting on a massive campaign war chest. So no matter how you slice it, there’s a very good chance that this next, you know, 13 months might be hopefully Lauren Bert’s last 13 months in office. Let’s hope.”

“This unauthorized adaptation of Bram Stoker’s Dracula was made in 1922 by F. W. Murnau and starring Max Schreck as Count Orlok (the unauthorized Count Dracula). Due to a lawsuit from Stoker’s widow, the film was supposed to have been destroyed. Thankfully for film history, it was not. The filmmakers behind the 1931, Bela Lugosi version of Dracula were able to get a print of this movie and took lots of inspiration from this film. Before the Robert Eggers version comes out, watch the original.

“The former lawmaker who authored and co-sponsored Florida’s notorious “Don’t Say Gay” Bill has been sentenced to four months in prison for defrauding the Paycheck Protection Program that was put in place at the start of the COVID pandemic. The lawmaker – who resigned in disgrace at the end of last year – secured a loan of $150,000 based on fraudulent information submitted to the government and will spend the next few months behind bars. But the people of Florida will continue to suffer under the legislation of a criminal for a much longer time, as Farron Cousins explains.

Joe Harding, the former Republican lawmaker from the state of Florida who resigned in disgrace last December, has been sentenced to four months in jail for fraudulently obtaining paycheck protection program P P P loans during the start of the C Ovid 19 pandemic in 2020. So why does this matter? Right? Okay. A Florida Republican lawmaker resigned in disgrace. He pleaded guilty, I think back in March. Why should we care about this? Well, the answer is quite simple. Mr. Harding is the co-author and co-sponsor of Florida’s controversial and ridiculously oppressive and homophobic. Don’t say gay legislation. Now, let me tell you first and foremost what Mr. Harding pleaded guilty to Harding pleaded guilty in March to one count each of wire fraud, money laundering, and making false statements in a plot to fraudulently obtain $150,000 federal covid relief loan. Uh, according to a statement by US Attorney’s office for the Northern District of Florida, he was sentenced to four months in federal prison and two additional years of supervised release following his prison sentence.

And he has to pay $300 in restitution, got $150,000 loan fraudulently. He has to pay $300 in restitution. Uh, he used two businesses of his, that the businesses were dormant. Harting still claimed to the small business administration that one of the companies had four employees and a 420,000 uh, dollars in revenue. The other had two employees, he said, and had $392,000 in revenue according to authorities. And of course, those claims were not true. So again, another Republican busted defrauding the very people who put ’em in office. But that’s just part of the story, as I said, right? Because the bigger part of the story is that the paycheck protection program, the P P P loans, the deadline to submit a claim to even get a P P P loan was May 31st of the year, 2021.

Him writing and co-sponsoring the don’t say gay legislation in Florida actually happened after May 31st, 2021. So by the time he wrote this legislation that has ruined the lives of so many people here in Florida, by the time he had written that he had already broken the law. So this law that is in place in Florida that we are all living under right now was written by a man who had broken the law, who is now officially a criminal. He wasn’t technically by definition a criminal at the time because he hasn’t been, hadn’t been caught and convicted of it yet, but he had already done the crime by the time he wrote the legislation. And there’s nothing we

Can do about that. We are living under this law that, again, is ruining people’s lives every day. And it was written by a man who’s now a criminal. Oh, and I mentioned, you know, he is sentenced to four months in prison, but don’t worry, he doesn’t have to surrender himself to January 29th of next year. So he gets all this time after pleading guilty in March, sentenced at the, you know, tail end of October. Now he gets another three months like to enjoy Christmas and Thanksgiving with your family. You’re just gonna miss the winter months and you’re out in time for summer vacation. And the damage he has done to this state will live on a law written by a now criminal ruining people’s lives, and there’s nothing we can do about it. That’s what me off the most about it. The fraud. Yeah, that’s infuriating. The fact that we’re living under a law written by a man who had already broken the law when he wrote it, that is absolutely unforgivable.”
