What would happen if a monkey ate its own head?

“Monkeys, like all animals, lack the physical ability to eat their own heads. Here’s why:

  • Limited reach: Their arms and shoulders simply can’t reach around to their head.
  • Self-preservation instinct: Animals have a strong instinct to survive, and harming themselves goes against that.
  • Spinal cord: Biting into the neck area would sever the spinal cord, leading to immediate paralysis and death.

    But let’s say for the sake of fun that a monkey defied all these limitations. Here’s what likely would happen:

  • Massive blood loss: The head contains many blood vessels, and biting into it would cause severe bleeding.
  • Organ damage: Eating the head would involve damaging eyes, ears, and the brain, leading to immediate death.
  • Choking hazard: Bony parts of the skull would be difficult or impossible to digest and could cause choking.

    In short, eating its own head would be a very quick and fatal mistake for a monkey.”
