“For some bewildering reason, the attendance at Disney Parks has collapsed following the Fourth of July. This is on the heels of already very low attendance for the early summer. A team of That Park Place writers is already on the ground, but now we’re checking to see what might be the issues sending families elsewhere for their vacations!” Let’s get at least one thing correct here… …As to the so called “bedroom issues Disney is pushing in schools”…it’s already been well established, that this starts out as very basic promotion of human respect, and advances to general information on sex hygiene and safety, in later years. …It’s just base decency and information that is important to know, especially for those kids it directly applies to…You know…the ones who are already homosexual in nature… By extension, it is needed among the heterosexual kids also…because they need to know not to be bigoted a-holes. Regardless of whatever bad decisions Disney may be making on a chronic basis…their stance on gay rights actually has them on the correct side of history. A lot of Disney’s problem…is that so much of it’s customer base is made of up bigoted a-holes, who want to strong arm the company into their own will. A second and possibly larger part of the problem…is that Disney has it’s parks completely out of reach [financially and distance wise], for such a massive portion of the population. From what some people are saying…Disney has shifted to focusing on the affluent “upper class”, and doesn’t really care about getting us “pee ons” into their parks…because we cant really be milked for cash, like the well off people can. I’d be asking why the affluent people aren’t coming back…because it seems that “middle” and “lower” class people haven’t been all that important to their business model, for a very long time…Likely, the pandemic shutdown has a lot to do with why the affluent aren’t returning. I remember this small family I know talking about canceling their trip to Disney Land…and saying how they had been putting together ten thousand dollars, just to have a week long vacation there…And while I understand this covers more than just admission into the parks, it’s like…holy hell!…Geographically, going to a Disney park is absolutely prohibitive to a vast portion of the country… While I realize that California has a massive fraction of the entire national population [who are “local”, and don’t need a grocery list of additional services]…and Florida has the comfortable retirees, who’s grandchildren come to visit…there is this whole other massive chunk of us, who have no viable, sane path to visiting these parks…And that even applies to working class people, who aren’t doing especially terrible. — The boycott…backlash…people pissy about inclusion and respect of homosexuals…whatever… …I am personally done with this a-hole, conservative religious dominance over sexual minorities…I am done with these fuckers, who relentlessly let us know they think we are not worthy, and who voice their intent to crush us under their heels… …I am done with these pieces of shit, who know nothing other than how to make the lives of other people miserable and torturous…They are nothing more than an endless pain in the ass, who generally don’t even understand why they do what they do…they’re just fucking a-holes… As far as I’m concerned…those sorts have done us no favors in life…and they can all go drop dead. We need a psychological revolution in this world…where the people who claim there is no room in this world for sexual minorities, go entirely extinct. Enough With This BullShit! — I agree that Disney is in a bad place…I agree that the language policing and political correctness has gotten insane…but it’s more complicated than Disney doing things that “you” don’t like… I think they have been heading for a collapse, just because of the state of the national economy, and the fact that most people are struggling just to pay their basic survival expenses…Entertainment industries are going to be casualties, when things get like this. It’s not about “laying down with pigs”…and shame on WDW Pro for expressing such a dehumanizing thing…It’s a disappointment, to see that this production is just another gaggle of intolerant people, with thinly veiled bigotries. === |
