The White Working Class Are Rising Up To Revolt In Europe…

01) The White Working Class Are Rising Up To Revolt In Europe

“The White Working Class Are Rising Up To Revolt In Europe. The yellow vests protests began after the French government imposed a tax on gas and diesel. The citizenry was furious, the rising tax would affect those from rural areas more so than those in cities.

This meant that once again the urban areas would continue unscathed following government action on climate change and be immune to the economic ramifications of a globalized economy.

In response white working class people from the rural areas rose up and began to revolt in major cities. They called themselves the forgotten majority, similar to Trump’s silent majority.

Now entering week three, it is expected to continue as French president Emmanuel Macron refuses to negotiate.”

Antifa And Nationalists Fighting Side by Side Against Macron…

01) Antifa And Nationalists Fighting Side by Side Against Macron

“Antifa And Nationalists Fighting Side by Side Against Macron shows that the president of France has screwed this one up pretty badly. To rally the middle class, nationalists, and antifa to riot against you takes some serious failure.

But the reality is that even though you have elements of the far left and right in the “yellow jackets” protest, the majority of those in the french fuel protest are middle class citizens. I’m told by a journalist in France that these are people you don’t normally see protesting.

So why is this? Why have people started to stand up when they normally bow out? And is it true what some are claiming, that this is a rebuke of globalism?”

When Tumblr bans porn, who loses?…

Date: December 04, 2018

01) When Tumblr bans porn, who loses?

“On Monday, Tumblr CEO Jeff D’Onofrio announced in a post on the staff blog that explicit visual content will be banned from the site starting on December 17. That means no more sex acts, no more nudity, and no more “female-presenting nipples,” whatever that means. The move comes after the Tumblr app was removed from the App Store in late November, due to the presence of child pornography on a number of private blogs.

Yet despite D’Onofrio’s assurances, the NSFW ban will directly affect artists, sex workers, and others who rely on the platform as a welcoming and inclusive space to discuss and depict diverse expressions of sexuality. It also speaks to Tumblr’s larger problems as a creative platform that could not have survived without founder David Karp selling it to a larger company, and has since been contorted and stifled by what it’s had to do to keep existing.

Why would Tumblr ban porn after 11 years of porn?

Tumblr, founded in 2007, was acquired by Yahoo in May 2013 for $1.1 billion despite sustained protest from its user base, including one petition with more than 170,000 signatures. Three years later, after it failed to reach advertising goals set by former Yahoo CEO Marissa Mayer, Yahoo wrote down $230 million of Tumblr’s value. The following quarter, citing projections for the company’s future possible ad revenue, they wrote it down again — this time by $482 million.

If Tumblr didn’t exactly blossom under Yahoo, it was at least left mostly alone. Then, in June 2017, Yahoo was acquired by Verizon for its ad business and merged into a punchline media company called Oath, smashed up against AOL — acquired in 2015, also for its ad business. Karp left the company in November 2017, and was replaced by D’Onofrio, then Tumblr’s COO and formerly an executive at post-Google-acquisition Zagat.

In November came the Tumblr app’s removal from the Apple Store. Speculation both inside and outside the platform’s community assumed this was the cause of the explicit content ban — a fear of being locked out of Apple’s precious walled garden, and an unwillingness to dedicate engineering resources to the task of creating a product that could adequately distinguish child pornography from other types of explicit content.

But a former staff engineer, who recently left Tumblr and asked to remain anonymous for professional reasons, tells Vox that the NSFW ban was “in the works for about six months as an official project,” adding that it was given additional resources and named “Project X” in September, shortly before it was announced to the rest of the company at an all-hands meeting. “[The NSFW ban] was going to happen anyway,” the former engineer told me. “Verizon pushed it out the door after the child pornography thing and made the deadline sooner,” but the real problem was always that Verizon couldn’t sell ads next to porn.”

Verizon…Bleh!…

…It’s all about money…

The people decimating the internet today, have never understood what the internet is fundamentally about.

The internet was founded upon counterculture…

…Many of us who have lived and thrived here on the internet, think that Verizon should take it’s ads, and it’s pursuit of money…and shove them all up it’s ass…and go get lost…permanently.

Sony Japan President Says PS4 Censorship Policy Is To Match Global Standards And Protect Kids…

01) Sony Japan President Says PS4 Censorship Policy Is To Match Global Standards And Protect Kids

“Sony Interactive Entertainment Japan president, Atsushi Morita, finally addressed the censorship regulations that Sony has employed for PS4 games, speaking at the Japan Studio “Fun” Meeting that took place in Tokyo, Japan on December 1st, 2018. The event was themed around a celebration of SIE Japan Studio’s projects, but was also open to some fan questions. The news was picked up by Japanese gaming blogs like Ebitsu.net and Mutyun.com, which briefly covered some of the topics Morita addressed while at the meet-and-greet.

Morita explained that there was no “profound meaning” behind the decision other to match global regulation, saying…

“Regarding the regulation of the depiction of content, it’s simply a matter of matching global standards.

“As for the freedom of expression… we have to think about what might be unpleasant for children and shield them from those things while also thinking and assessing ways to find a balance [for that expression].”

As stated previously…there are not going to be anymore large holiday albums. What comes from here on out, will be more “supplemental” to what has already been released.

The plan is to put out another one of these next year…and the year after…etc…

If I’m feeling up to it, I may release something else this year…But, I’ve still got the video exhibition for this album to put together…So, that comes first.

I could not let a year pass, without some type of holiday album.

I hope this short collection is uplifting…

…Happy Yule Season!

Tumblr will ban all adult content on December 17th…

Date: December 03, 2018

01) Tumblr will ban all adult content on December 17th

“Tumblr will permanently ban adult content from its platform on December 17th in a move that will eradicate porn-related communities on the platform and fundamentally alter how the service is used. The ban includes explicit sexual content and nudity with a few exceptions, the company tells The Verge. The new policy’s announcement comes just days after Tumblr was removed from Apple’s iOS App Store over a child pornography incident, but it extends far beyond that matter alone. “Adult content will no longer be allowed here,” the company flatly stated in a blog post published on Monday.

Banned content includes photos, videos, and GIFs of human genitalia, female-presenting nipples, and any media involving sex acts, including illustrations. The exceptions include nude classical statues and political protests that feature nudity. The new guidelines exclude text, so erotica remains permitted. Illustrations and art that feature nudity are still okay — so long as sex acts aren’t depicted — and so are breastfeeding and after-birth photos.

After December 17th, any explicit posts will be flagged and deleted by algorithms. For now, Tumblr is emailing users who have posted adult content flagged by algorithms and notifying them that their content will soon be hidden from view. Posts with porn content will be set to private, which will prevent them from being reblogged or shared elsewhere in the Tumblr community.”

The Untold History of EA’s Long (and Rich) Pay-2-Win Love Affair [2017]…

01) The Untold History of EA’s Long (and Rich) Pay-2-Win Love Affair

“This video started out as a review for Star Wars Battlefront II, but as I researched the commercials behind it, I began to uncover a consistent pattern from EA that began as early as 2006, and has since come to define much of our industry as other publishers have sought to recreate EA’s success. This is the story of Andrew Wilson’s golden goose and how it saved EA but cost us AAA gaming in 2017.”

Interesting video…

It used to be…you bought a game…you got that game…you played that game…

…These days…you buy the game…take it home [or download it]…install it…and along with playing it, you get numerous opportunities to spend more money…on back end sales.

…There’s the expansions…there is DLC…and a gambling sort of thing called “loot boxes”, where you pay money…but don’t know exactly what you are going to end up with, for the cash that you just forked over…You just really, really hope, that it’s something really good that you want.

I haven’t really been into the games that are plagued with this [or, maybe it’s just that I’ve lacked the money to buy much of anything, over the last five years?]…which I presume are largely shooters, and action based games…sports games…

…So…I’m fairly disconnected from “loot boxes”…But, I generally think they’re a bad idea…

If they’re going to sell something, they should put a price on it and sell it.

I like purchasing a game, getting what I paid for and being left alone to enjoy the game…not being expected to dump more money, while playing the game…They need to keep real world sales transactions outside of the actual game play…If people want to spend more money, they can search out these sorts of purchases easy enough…We don’t need our games being invaded by them.

I have played The Sims a lot over the years [1, 2 and 3]…and one thing that really grinds my ass, is the way EA forced items to show up in The Sims 3 [at the very top of all selections in your inventory], which were online store items you had to purchase, if you wanted to use them…

In short…they constantly forced a sort of “ad” in front of you, trying to get you to buy something new [a DLC item], which you could not turn off…and it pissed off a lot of people.

I don’t need to see online store items I’ve not even purchased, while I’m immersed in playing a game…

…So…I am somewhat familiar with these kinds of annoying, aggressive and unwanted practices.

It wasn’t until about four years ago, that I finally completed my Sims 3 collection [though, there’s still several “stuff packs” I don’t own]…and “left behind” The Sims 2…As I really started playing more seriously, this crumby business tactic really put a stain on my opinion of EA…Yes, I still purchased The Sims 4 base…but, I haven’t purchased anything else from EA since.

…And I just cant get back on that treadmill, repurchasing all the endless rehashes of all the previous expansion packs…I’m kind of astonished, that The Sims 4 has not faded into irrelevance…

Not sure what they are doing, which distinguishes The Sims 4 from it’s predecessors, and expands upon the series…And for as much money as they want…I don’t believe I’m much interested anymore.
