How Much Do You Know About Christmas?…

01) How Much Do You Know About Christmas?

“It’s the most wonderful time of the year, but how much do you know about Christmas? It’s celebrated around the world, and it’s rich with tradition and meaning, but in this quiz, we’re going to go a step further. So, haul out the holly, we’re getting our Christmas on.”

I didn’t think I was going to do this well…

…A few of these questions, I felt were clearly misleading…I had the correct answer in my mind, but due to the way they phrased the question…it made it seem like they were looking for some other answer.

A few other questions, the answers are honestly up to interpretation…not really a fixed answer, in my opinion.

I started off pretty bad [the first five or so questions]…but pulled out of the nose dive, nicely.

Yes…There was a lot of intuition at play here…I guessed on many of these questions…and happened to get most of my guesses correct.

“Pedo (Barely) Loses Election To Non-Pedo”…

01) Pedo (Barely) Loses Election To Non-Pedo

“Read More At:

If Roy Moore were in fact a pedo, literally [aka a child] or colloquially [aka a child lover], it would possibly be his only redeeming value.

Once again…I see nothing to justify belief that Roy is a pedophile. At most, he is a badly behaving ephebophile, if we are to believe the accusations against him. Potentially, he’s a situational harasser/assaulter.

If he likes young but sexually mature bodies…then he is not a pedophile.

Some people may think I’m splitting hairs just to be annoying…but let me tell you something…

…As a pedophile, I don’t consider myself better than hebephiles or ephebophiles [each type of MAP is equally good]…but clarity in distinction and discussion about or sub-groups of MAPs, is important for acknowledging our unique circumstances and needs…It’s also a matter of simple respect, to be addressed and talked about accurately.

…People who refuse to see our diverse and unique circumstances are saying to us…”I don’t care about you, as a human being”.

That is an ugly and despicable place, for anyone to come from.

We are all born into this world, unwillingly and with a set of dispositions…which includes our sexuality…

…The least anyone could do…is to stop prejudging people, based on what gets them sexually aroused.

…Natural sexual arousal, is not a matter of moral or ethical failure…It’s something that just is how it is.

The true measure of character…is what someone with any of these orientations does with them.

Roy Moore, allegedly, liked to isolate teenage girls and have his way with them…despite that they didn’t want anything like that with him…

If true…then that is the damnation of Roy, from a sexual perspective.

As to the things he campaigned for…Roy was just terrible…I’m glad he lost.

Good grief, Kyle…

…You’re really riding the anti-pedophile propaganda hard…

…How cheap and unsophisticated of you.

Paul Ryan Might Not Be Around Much Longer…

01) Paul Ryan Might Not Be Around Much Longer

“Speaker Paul Ryan (R-Wis.) is reportedly considering retiring after the 2018 midterm elections.

Politico reported Thursday that Ryan has told his “closest confidants” that his current term as Speaker will be his last.

According to Politico interviews with three dozen of Ryan’s colleagues, aides, lobbyists and allies, “not a single person believed Ryan will stay in Congress past 2018.”

Ryan told reporters on Thursday that he is not planning on leaving the House.

Asked at the end of his weekly press conference Thursday whether he was leaving Congress “soon,” Ryan chuckled and replied as he walked off the stage: “I’m not, no.”

Acknowledging My Vidme Account…

Vidme is closing down.

It was located at https://vid.me/EQ_Foundation

Interestingly…I opened it up one year ago, today [Dec 14, 2016].

I never successfully uploaded a video to this account, though I tried…I didn’t pay any attention to the directions, and figured the video length was probably too long.

Not sure why I never uploaded any of my tiny “test” videos…Figured I’d come back to this account later, and get into it deeper…It was really just supposed to be a backup place for me…About a week later, my father died, and…well…so much got put on the back burner.

Vidme never became embeddable, to my knowledge…It’s still a young service, honestly…and many [myself included] had hoped, that Vidme would become a serious alternative to YouTube…which sorely needs competition…and a place for it’s growing refugees.

I guess…it’s gone the way of my BlipTV account.

Creators of the Internet Tell Congress Ajit Pai and FCC “Should Be Stopped”…

01) Creators of the Internet Tell Congress Ajit Pai and FCC “Should Be Stopped”

“A total of twenty internet pioneers—individuals that created the World Wide Web, hypertext, and the internet itself—called on Congress to stop the FCC from repealing Title II net neutrality protections, citing how the FCC has botched the process, ignored Americans, and not complied with Freedom of Information Act requests over fraudulent comments submitted using peoples’ identities. Additionally, they issue a bleak warning about how the death of net neutrality is harmful.

Empowering people to talk about end of life planning…

01) Empowering people to talk about end of life planning

“In this blog, Gentle Dusk explain the work they are doing to help people take control of their end of life plans.

How do we make it ok to talk about death, dying and bereavement? How do we ensure both staff and the public are aware of the importance of both talking about and planning for the end of life? And perhaps most importantly, how do we get them to be “conversation-ready”?

Good commissioning in end of life care covers improving contracts, introducing quality standards and evidenced-based frameworks. This is not enough though; it simply does not address the need for staff and the public to be ready for “the conversation”. Nor is it helping people plan end of life before it is too late. Our experiences around death, dying and bereavement will not improve without lifting the taboo. If, as a society, we remain stuck with death being the unmentionable then staff will always find it difficult to overcome the barriers to starting conversations and the public will be reluctant to talk about dying.”

UK based…but important and good article.

Tough-on-Crime Prosecutors Are Out of Step With Public Views…

Date: December 13, 2017

01) ACLU: Tough-on-Crime Prosecutors Are Out of Step With Public Views

“Approximately nine out of 10 likely voters surveyed said that it was important for their prosecutor to prioritize alternatives to incarceration. This includes 83 percent of Republicans polled. Eighty-eight percent of voters also said they were more likely to support a prosecutor who actively works to reduce racial bias in the criminal justice system. And 91 percent want prosecutors to reduce sentences in instances where people were treated unequally because of their race. Respondents also want a prosecutor who makes a commitment to transparency, with 85 percent favoring a prosecutor who shares data and policies with the public.

The poll also reveals one major reason why “tough on crime” prosecutors get returned to office even though their extreme beliefs are significantly out of step with the majority of constituents: Many voters simply know too little about who their local prosecutor is or what they are up to.”

Races for prosecutors are commonly uncontested?
