01) Sexual assault survivors face jail in Australia if they publicly identify themselves under new law
Thanks to feinmann!

“Sexual assault victims who publicly discuss their experiences using their real names could face up to four months in prison, under a new law passed in the Australian state of Victoria, sparking outrage among campaigners. ‘This has been described as a win for paedophiles and rapists, and is a huge blow for survivors who no longer have the legal right to speak out’, campaigner Nina Funnell wrote.”
Hmmm…
…Unintended consequences?…
And to think…there for a fleeting moment, I imagined this could be something put into place, to stop people from hounding and inhibiting the convicted who are trying to put their lives back together…
…But, they’re not likely thought of here.
I’d like to know how on earth this is “a ‘win’ for paedophiles”…This Nina gal sounds like she’s full of a lot of crap, if you ask me.
We “paedophiles” don’t gain a single darn thing from this.
In fact…I’d say it rattles the cage even more…We need less civil unrest…not more.
It seems to me…if they pass a law saying nobody can do this…then it is only logical, that nobody can do it…Otherwise, what good is such a law in the first place?
