01) This Tiny Home Community Gives Homeless Veterans A Chance – Working To End Veteran Homelessness

“This amazing project gives temporary homes to veterans who are looking to get back on track. Sometimes, all it takes is a period of time for people to get back on their feet, these project attempts to do just that. These tiny homes are designed with the veteran in mind and the Tiny Home Tours team was happy to donate to the cause.

PBS 2020 Segment Finds Time for Klobuchar, Sestak, and Bullock—But Completely Ignores Bernie Sanders…

Date: December 03, 2019

01) He’s Just…Erased’: It was like watching “manufacturing consent in action,’ said Current Affairs editor Nathan Robinson

“A Monday night PBS NewsHour segment on the state of the 2020 Democratic presidential primary highlighted Sen. Amy Klobuchar’s new ad campaign in Iowa, the departure of marginal candidates Steve Bullock and Joe Sestak, a tender campaign moment with Sen. Elizabeth Warren, and Joe Biden’s “No Malarkey” bus tour—but did not once even mention Sen. Bernie Sanders despite recent key endorsements and a surge in the polls.

Sanders’ presidential campaign has repeatedly accused the corporate media of ignoring the senator from Vermont, a phenomenon Sanders supporters have dubbed the “Bernie blackout.”

The PBS segment, led by NewsHour correspondent Yamiche Alcindor, offered “a real taste of what Bernie is talking about,” Current Affairs editor Nathan Robinson wrote Tuesday.

“Remember that Sanders has been #1 in two out of three recent New Hampshire polls, and is currently second in Iowa, ahead of ‘frontrunner’ Joe Biden,” Robinson noted. “Alcindor found time to talk about Joe Sestak and Steve Bullock, plus plenty of candidates struggling to get out of single-digit poll numbers. And yet: not even a photo of Bernie Sanders. Incredible. He’s just… erased. He’s gone. Bernie who?”

American Authoritarianism and Restoring Constitutional Order – Shahid Buttar [2017]…

Date: December 02, 2019

01) American Authoritarianism and Restoring Constitutional Order – Shahid Buttar

“In an age of heightened security, are our most vital civil liberties at risk? Shahid Buttar of the Electronic Frontier Foundation provides an insight into the history of mass surveillance and incarceration policies, how those policies conflict with the very ideas of a democratic society, and how these policies affect everything from popular movements to our daily lives.

Shahid leads EFF’s grassroots and student outreach efforts. He’s a constitutional lawyer focused on community organizing and policy reform as a lever to shift legal norms, with roots in communities across the country resisting mass surveillance.

From 2009 to 2015, he led the Bill of Rights Defense Committee as Executive Director. After graduating from Stanford Law School in 2003, where he grew immersed in the movement to stop the war in Iraq, Shahid worked for a decade in Washington, D.C. He first worked in private practice, with public interest litigation projects advancing campaign finance reform, and marriage equality for same-sex couples as early as 2004, when LGBT rights remained politically marginal. From 2005 to 2008, he helped build a national progressive legal network and managed the communications team at the American Constitution Society for Law & Policy, and in 2008 and 2009 he founded the program to combat racial & religious profiling at Muslim Advocates.”

My first loyalty is to the honest pursuit of truth.

I am not bothered over who becomes offended, because of this honest pursuit of truth.

I reject dogma, and hold no loyalty to groups which propagate dogma.

This also means that I know, and accept, that an awful lot of things in this world are not going to be liked, by an awful lot of people…

…and yet…this stops nothing which is true, from being true.

Nobody is obliged to apologize, for discussing what is true.
