“Pastor Andrew Wommack seems to be looking for the opportunity to take part in a civil war. It’s bizarre. As if he’d last a second in a war zone today.” I wonder how long people are expected to weather these repeated, thinly veiled, murderous threats from Andrew Wommack…and just set by doing nothing about it. …I mean…he’s not singling out anyone individually…or any specific group, when he makes these threats…But we all clearly see exactly what he is doing, and communicating…and the audience he is communicating it to. — By the way, Owen…We both know good and well, that the “anti homosexual” passage in question is entirely vague…and it specifies nothing which excludes homosexual adults, nor does it clarify any focus on pederasty… …That is literally something not there, which you imposed upon the passage, and implied it to be the meaning…And in doing so, you’ve sadly lowered yourself to the level of Andrew Wommack, as relates to this issue. It’s unfortunate you cannot wrap your mind around the general harmlessness of pederasty…or pedophilia, for that matter. …It’s unfortunate you seem to have this need, to parade your ignorance and bigotry. It seems to be the popular thing these days, to simply assert the Leviticus passage to be aimed at “condemning pedophiles”…Even though this claim is based on nothing but modern day bigotry. It’s the literal reinterpretation of the bible, by bigots…nothing more. I do want to say, however…I appreciate the sentiment [whether it’s historically correct or not], that Paul was merely taking this stance because he thought such behavior was making the church look bad, in the eyes of the current population…Or in other words, that it was about public relations with the majority, and wasn’t honestly all that serious of an issue. It should be noted, however…that that is also a modern day interpretation. === |
