Ivo Ivancic: “We should be part of the negotiations. They are creating a second judicial system, sitting in secret rooms with business delegates, deciding behind our backs. And putting governments under pressure with court cases worth billions of dollars because they claim they lose money, that is something which is not OK. And that’s why I am totally against TTIP.”
This looks like one to check out…I hope I haven’t already missed it’s run, in the local theaters.

Date: April 25, 2016 If a small amount of boy nudity is compromising for you, or otherwise bothers you, then don’t watch this movie.
“20th Century Italy provides the backdrop for class struggle in this dramatic epic. Set in the countryside of the Province of Emilia in Italy, the story of two men, one a bastard born into a family of farm workers, the other an heir to a wealthy family of landowners.” Note that this was legally published by it’s copyright owner, for free viewing, on Paramount Pictures official YouTube channel…a rather awesome channel…Lots of great movies there…in their entirety. I never much thought that big Hollywood companies would finally get on board, and start being generous with their content, like this…And I’m pleased to see this, hopefully trend, take off. There is a small bit of very natural nudity in this movie…and some controversial subject matter…but, nothing that any level headed person would get bent out of shape over. All in all…it’s a great [if very, very long] movie…and some BoyLovers have considered this to be a long time addition, to their movie boy watch lists…because the two main characters are young boys, for the beginning of this movie…stretching well into the movie. |

“Alice Dreger works with people at the edge of anatomy, such as conjoined twins and intersexed people. In her observation, it’s often a fuzzy line between male and female, among other anatomical distinctions. Which brings up a huge question: Why do we let our anatomy determine our fate?”
I tend to wonder…with the “more intensive sense” of women to perceive and protect the most vulnerable amongst us…does this also tend to come with heightened levels of aggression, and closed minded zealotry?…Does it have it’s own [less than constructive] pathology, which gets aimed at those deemed “undesirable”?
…What is the balance?…Is there one?
At times…I’ve perceived that many people get blinded by their sense…that they have some “higher cause”, taking precedence over other people and groups…and over those people’s ability to attain what they need in life.
…I’ve seen the aggression and [sometimes vicious] conflict that results.
To me…self appointed “protectors” being necessary, and acting decently…is more a matter of spin, than a matter of objective truth.

“Sexual assault continues to be a pervasive problem, both for society in general and within the military community. To assist the Air Force in its continued efforts to combat sexual assault within its ranks, we reviewed the existing empirical literature on the characteristics and behaviors of adult perpetrators who commit sexual assault against other adults. Our search was not limited to studies of military populations. While a vast majority of the existing literature has focused on sole male perpetrators who assault female victims, we identified some research on other types of perpetrators, including female sexual assault perpetrators, men who perpetrate assault against other men, and perpetrators who participate in group sexual assault. This body of research indicates that adult perpetrators are diverse in terms of their demographics, background characteristics, and motivations. Moreover, research indicates that sexual assault perpetration is likely influenced by a combination of factors, including an individual’s developmental and family history; his or her personality, including attitudes/cognitions; and environmental factors, including peer attitudes and alcohol consumption. The complexity of factors that influence sexual assault perpetration and the multiple pathways that lead to an attack make it difficult to predict whether an individual is prone to commit sexual assault. While predicting sexual assault perpetration is problematic, we identified a number of factors related to perpetration that may be relevant for intervention efforts and offer recommendations for the Air Force.” A report done for a branch of the military…but interesting, none the less. |
